Story

My name is Ciara Mulhern, and I am the Partner here at Dumbarton Vets4Pets. I qualified from Glasgow Vet School, and I'm delighted to be returning to my hometown of Dumbarton to start this new vet practice.
We opened on the 18th of July inside Pets at Home in St James Retail Park in Dumbarton.

Have been taking our pup Bailey here since we got him and the service and care we have received from receptionists and the vets Melanie in particular is first class. Nothing is too much trouble for the team here and Bailey is already very comfortable when he pays them a visit. Would highly recommend.
The procedure was a lot less in terms of cost than I was expecting and the vet/nurse was excellent in explaining different options available which we took up on such as pre surgical bloods and the surgical suit instead of collar. The work that was done is incredible. I had my dog in to be spayed which I have been so worried about but the wound is so neat, tidy and clean looking. I'm very impressed.
Immaculate, nice friendly knowledgeable vets,however 1 of the receptionists, older lady with blonde hair is very dry,quite rude,she thinks shes the vet,rest of the receptionists are lovely,that 1 lady in particular is quite off putting,nearly didnt go with them because of her.but I've been at this practice for years so I just ignore her,overall immaculate and friendly.
My dog was in for vet check and vaccines,she was taken from me into a room then brought back I’d say no longer than 3 minutes and handed back no explanation of her weight etc,or a warning she might be poorly after the kennel cough vaccine I sat up with her all night as I didn’t know what was wrong with her,I phoned next morning and a really nice girl on reception explained about the kennel cough vaccine which put my mind at ease ,would have saved a lot of worry if this had been explained to me at the time
Excellent vet practice. We have a lively little Cocker Spaniel who can get himself into lots of mischief but on every occasion I have been confident trusting Cara and her team to provide the best possible care. Would never take Flynn anywhere else.
I'm a life long dog owner, I show my dogs and I work them as gundogs. I am very confident in Vets4Pets Dumbarton and satisfied I'm not being overcharged compared to other practices.
Staff are helpful and knowledgeable so don’t need to see a vet for little things. Would definitely recommend
Since we have attended the practice with our dog Ruby we cannot thank the vets and staff for their professional, caring and friendly service enough. Everything Ruby is going through is explained in a way that we can understand and absorb and all the staff go out of their way to help. So thankyou all we couldn't wish for a better practice for Ruby's care and needs.
They were prompt in providing tablets for my dog I was due to college and pointed me to the groom room for further assistance.
Great friendly staff and really good at looking after my nervous dog
