Had to take my bundle of joy Hugo here after I came home to find he had been brutally attacked by another cat who had bitten/scratched his bum badly. I was incredibly worried as we have an incredibly close bond and it was heartbreaking to see him so unlike himself, and with the amount of blood I found I honestly wasn’t sure if he would be okay. The team on the phone were incredibly sympathetic and helpful, I was informed of the fees and what to expect when I arrived. Once I arrived at the vets I was welcomed nicely, I was worried as Hugo is trained to walk on a lead and not in a carrier but they were incredibly understanding (the receptionist even invited him to sit on her desk so she could give him cuddles which he loved). He was seen promptly by the vet who was brilliant, she handled him incredibly well and did her best to ensure that he felt safe. Overall they did an excellent job, they explained everything in detail to me and talked me through what I would need to do next. I think the big thing people need to remember is that this service and these vets are effectively an A&E department, they treat the immediate problem. You then need to take your pet to your normal vet to continue treatment, as you would go to your doctor for further treatment. I’m gutted I didn’t get the names of the staff members that helped us, they really did an incredibly job of looking after Hugo & helping to ensure I understood what was going on and I was calm. Thanks to you he is nearly 2 and still not scared of the vets, still plays in the waiting room and falls asleep being examined!

The WORST vet I have EVER been too. It has taken me a long time to write this review (over a year recovery time and £7k in fees due to their negligence). One star is far too good for these poor excuses for "vets" but I had to share my harrowing story so please read. My cat had a blocked bladder but due to it being a holiday my own (wonderfully competent) vet was closed. I took him here as he was going to die basically, we waited about 5 minutes to be seen then went in and explained to the vet the issue. We were told he would need to be kept in overnight which we agreed. I was obviously extremely worried about my lovely boy at this point and was trying to remember everything to tell them to make his stay easier. My cat is a hard patient, bad fear aggression so often needs to be sedated to be looked at, at this point in time he was so ill he couldn't move so was accepting everything the vet did. I told the vet that as soon as he is feeling better and when the time came for him to come home they have to sedate him as he will be very hard to control. The vet said yes and we went home. I was up all night worrying (and quite rightly it seems) the next morning I called and they said he was better but causing problems I said did you sedate him as I mentioned and they said no. I went to pick him up and was kept waiting for an hour, after an hour I asked where he was and they said he was causing issues and two people were now attempting to get him into his box I then said why on earth have you not sedeated him like I asked to which I got no response. Half an hour later he was brought out and practically thrown at me and told if he blocks up again bring him back (like hell I would bring him to this hell hole again) and that the front desk will supply me with medicine, she then left. Paid for his treatment then got no medicine I asked but she didn't know. When I got to the door he looked terrified and his box wasn't even closed properly so had I not have seen it he might have fell out and gotten more injured! Brought him home and he couldn't walk and tail was limp. Made him comfortable and monitored him over the next few days Fast forward a week he had lost over half his body weight, had blocked up again and couldn't move. Took him to my vets as he was in so much pain and he had to be transfered to stay overnight at medivet Dartford as they don't keep animals over night (they are lovely people there truely x) they managed to handle him correctly and actually accepted the fact that I know my cat and sedated him as requested, gave him back to me in one piece AND with medicine to stop him blocking up again which is what I should have gotten at gillingham. For about two months after he still couldn't raise his tail and could barely walk in pain, back at my vet (parrock street vets) he was sent to have an MRI and we found out he had suffered trauma to his back and tail (clearly when two "vets" at gillingham were forcing him into his box unsedated although these are my thoughts of course but the mri team confirmed it would have taken something significant to cause it and vets now are the only people to have handled him badly). Luckily rest and human pain killers were to be the magic combination and so a year and 4 months later he has finally healed (still has a kink in his tail but better than dead). I complained to vets now and after a few months of back and forth (with them lying completly and saying i was afraid of my own cat and hadn't told them anything) with different people their legal team finally came back to me and essentially said "well it might have been us but you can't prove it was". Utterly dispicable people. Apologies for the long review but this could not have been written shortly. Recently heard a friend took her dog here and they couldn't diagnose him without having a video of him having a fit.....yes I often tell my pet to hold on and not die long enough so the so the vet I'm going to take him to can figure out what's wrong. Moronic, incompetent and if I had my way closed down!

Pup went in for emergency surgery over night this week. Everything the team did was perfect and gave me everything I needed to return to my own vets the next morning 😊 He is on the mend now!
