Story

Verdi's is a family run Italian restaurant in Stepney Green, East London.

In a former pub dating back to the Georgian period, soft shades of green create a calming ambience and photos of family and local landmarks are dotted over the walls of the long, narrow room leading to the partially open kitchen.

The simplicity of the room and decor is reflected by the no-frills home-cooking, which is mostly influenced by the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy; this is honest food with big flavours.

We are renowned for our pasta dishes using fresh pasta handmade daily on the premises by experienced Italian chefs.

Our specialties, rarely found elsewhere in London, is our Torta Fritta and Pumpkin Ravioli. It would not be a Emilia Romagna restaurant without our Italian wines, including the unique sparkling red Lambrusco.

An Italian gem with amazing authentic food, great service, prices and friendly staff. Been a favourite spot since the first visit.

off the beaten track for me, lovely food, good price for London friendly staff. Wanted pasta and boy was it lovely. Excellent neighbourhood restaurant. Great atmosphere, fun music and friendly, attentive service. Pizza was excellent. Pasta options looked good too. Perfect place as the winter nights draw in.

Visited this restaurant a few times with my work colleagues and I have to say we love our visit every time.  The staff are lovely and  the food is great will be back again soon.

it's a great little neighbourhood Italian full of tasty food. went there several times, for pizza and for main dishes. I have to say, while the pizza is quite good, the star are the dishes, in particular the specials. the arancini is great, the pasta is cooked beautifully and with great sauces. definitely recommend the trip here

It was a great restaurant but it has been closed most of the year. What are some of the local guides doing, reviewing this place over the last few days as if it was still open?

Took my mother for an evening meal. According to her the following are excellent I agree: ambience, furniture, service, food, wine, choice of background music, the peace, folded toilet paper, proximity to her house!

Been in a couple of times and have to say I love it each time.  The staff and owners are lovely, the food is great and reasonably priced and its a beautiful space.  Real hidden gem in the area, will be back again soon.

I love this restaurant! They made the best homemade pasta in all the city, it is very authentic. I recommend this place!
