Looking for somewhere quiet and comfortable to have a coffee and cake in Budleigh Salterton, I came across Vanilla Sky. Basically, this is a delicatessen with a small number of tables near the big shopfront window. However, this is not a cramped corner to get extra income, it is a comfortable environment for coffee, a selection of excellent cooked dishes of the day, and cakes. The staff are very friendly, and I got better directions and suggestions for places to visit, here, than I did from the information office! This is a great place to treat yourself.

Deliciousness in every way whether you want to sit down for a coffee and a slice of 'home made' cake, a light lunch or some goodies to take away. The homity pie is fantastic ! Most of the fresh food is made on the premesis and the chef is always happy to discuss ingredients and provenance if you so wish.
