The Hob was full again so as plan b we decided to give this place a second chance. The service is always very good but the fact that I can't actually see what I'm eating due to the dimmed light is a bit annoying. The burger is good, the dirty fries could be a bit bigger portion. The spiced apple crumble is very good! Not a cheap place, but hey it's on Gloucester Road.

Great place for drinks, really nice cocktails and are 241 everyday. The roast is a must try, but is a bit pricey. The staff are really nice and helpful. We had a delayed dessert, and the waiter, without prompt or complaint offered us a free drink to apologise. Great bar, good food, but a smidge pricey.
Had a really good brunch here visiting a friend. The staff were great in catering to her various demands which I appreciated. Food came quickly and was very tasty! Only thing I'd say is that the orange juice was so overpriced - it's orange juice please don't charge over £1.50 because we all know it costs that much for a whole bottle in the supermarket. It wasn't good enough to be so expensive it came out of a cardboard carton and tasted like a child's juice box.
Always has enjoyable food and a good range of beers and liquors. Friendly staff. Nice to sit by the window doors that open onto the street. You often struggle for seating here despite the large tables so you have to time your arrival well. Has slowly become one of my regular go-to places on a Friday when I'm working my way down Gloucester Road to Stokes Croft.
Always brilliant. The food is arguably the best on Gloucester Road. The Sunday roast is excellent and their ribs are large and fall off the bone. Great selection of drinks at fair prices, the staff are all super friendly, polite and happy to help. It’s become my local. Good work
Been several times in evening / at busy times and have always felt this was a nice place. However, went in for lunch - wanted to try the Mac and Cheese which was nice. It was pretty quiet in there, and felt a bit dingy / dirty. I know its meant to look 'Urban' but I am sure some of it was lack of cleaning! Anyway I liked the food, and it has a nice selection of drinks. Would go back.
Well laid out restaurant with a good mixture of traditional wooden tables, classics on the menu, candlelit meets urban with metal seats and good ambience. Catered for Gluten Free and Vegan which was a must for us. Service was prompt and friendly. Would eat here again.
I bought a beef burger and chips sold separately, I really hate that. The burger was mediocre at best, nice enough but nothing special. The chips on the other hand were terrible. Barely any of them to start with, if I'm paying for my chips separately I really expect to get a decent portion. But maybe that's just me I love chips, they were also barely cooked which just added to the annoyance. I would have complained but had my kid with me so things were a bit hectic and I had to leave suddenly to get a train. I don't I'll be going back again as for the prices paid id expect more. Beer was nice
