I recently had the pleasure of selling my lovely one-bedroom flat in Stoke Newington with the help of Nikki and Will from Urban Spaces, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience. From start to finish, Nikki and Will were nothing short of fantastic. Their communication was always prompt and clear, their professionalism was evident in every interaction, and their helpfulness made what can often be a stressful process into an enjoyable journey. From the moment we listed the flat to the day we exchanged contracts, Nikki and Will were consistently brilliant. I recently sold a flat in Canary Wharf and I couldn't be happier with the service that Nikki and Richard and the team provided. They communicated regularly so I knew exactly what was happening when. And when it came to pushing through the sale, they were very busy behind the scenes ensuring that both parties and their solicitors were all running processes in parallel. I couldn't recommend Urban Spaces more highly - an excellent, professional and friendly service. Thank you!
As a tenant I would not recommend this agency. They hold a large deposit they do not give back. They are unresponsive and not helpful. I understand from comments, other tenants also faced with similar issues.
I enrolled Urban Spaces many years ago as letting agents for my new build flat in London. If I remember correctly they were called Young London at the time. The team has always been very helpful and efficient. I gave them the Full Management responsibility and was able to sit back and enjoy the returns from my investment with no stress. As happens over such a long period of time, there were things that cropped up and this is where the team stepped up and efficiently dealt with any urgent issues such as a failed appliance or a tenant complaint. I didn't have to worry. Recently I decided to sell the flat and the sales team took over. They very quickly found a suitable buyer and recommended a firm of solicitors to handle the process. The sale is complete and I couldn't be happier with my relationship with Urban Spaces and I recommend the company and the excellent team.
Ultimately my situation was resolved however I would not recommend this agency. They hold a large deposit and have zero guarantees or policies about refunding it. They make glaring mistakes with the written contracts. They take zero responsibility for any issues and pass the blame and responsibilities to the landlord, even when the landlord is unreachable. They do not have a physical office. They lie about move in dates, amenities and deposits...they'll say anything until they get your money, and then they are dismissive or simply unresponsive. It's very difficult to get anything addressed afterwards. I would find another agency as a tenant simply because of the stress, lies and uncertainty of it all.
I highly recommend Urban Spaces for their excellent professionalism, communication, and assistance throughout the years. My brother and I have been renting with Urban Spaces since 2018 and we haven’t faced any issues at all. The entire process felt much easier and relaxed once we started renting with Urban Spaces. Whenever anything came up, the team has been very helpful and quick in their responses. Nikki Johnson, in particular, has been really outstanding in being proactive in her friendly assistance and has been really generous and committed to making sure everything flows smoothly.
As a landlord do not consider these agents. They are untimely at best and incompetent at worst. They have recently allowed my apartment to be empty for 3 weeks during the peak rental season. This is unforgiveable. They've not performed the check in/out to a sufficient standard to make any claims on the deposit possible. They have not checked the quality of contractors works such as cleaning and have charged me additional cleaning fees for something which should already have been cleaning professionally. The floors are sticky, the drains are blocked and the radiators are not working. Hopeless. Do not give them an option to ruin your investment returns either.
I have four properties with Urban Spaces and I am happy to recommend them as a first class property management company. The staff are efficient helpful and go the extra mile. In these rather difficult time for landlords, having the backup of a good team, who are on top of the legalese, is essential to reduce the risks to your business. A particular well done to Alex, Stephanie, and Sante.
I was absolutely delighted and very impressed with the service from Egle, Richard and the Urban Spaces team when selling my property. The entire journey, through from the initial enquiry through to the completion of the sale was faultless. Throughout the entire process they worked on my behalf to ensure that I achieved the optimum price for the property and that the sale was completed as quick as possible. I would happily recommend Urban Spaces and use them again in the future.
A great and experienced team. They got me asking price for my property listing, it was a great result. The team were good communicators and were also respectful of my property and requirements. I would definitely use them again and would recommend to London buyers and sellers.
