Just went to the open day today, the university is huge. Teachers are friendly and helpful, received lots of useful information here. I got a bit lost cus the place is so big, some buildings are bit complicated to walked to, but there's lots of students who lead us there.
Fantastic place. My daughter went this week for a visit and they looked after her so well from start to finish. She throughly enjoyed herself. The staff where great, nice clean and safe place. Thank you for taking care of my child.
Don't go here for studying or doing research. Technicians are ruining the research environment with their hugely inflated ego, and upper management, including the faculty members do nothing about it. Lots of politics and powerplay would make your life hell, especially in the CMBE department. Equipment often go missing as academics steal each other's equipment. Total chaos and dog eat dog environment.

It seems a great university, with excellent student union, some tradition and modern building. The connection to the nature Peak District is in the neighborhood, industrial partners and local community create a vibrant place.
