Biggest students Union in the country, helpful financial and academic advice. Good selection of food too. Hair salon inside is great for a cheap but good hair cut. Often runs evens for students that are helpful and fun. Even if you're not a student, pop in and have a look around
The Union itself is an amazing place. The lecturers, the provisions also 10/10. The staff at the reception are very rude and seems like they have not been trained how to talk to people. Why are you working in a face to face customer service role if you can't help people with queries? We have had many complaints from our members its mounting up to at least a hundred over the past couple of years. The staff at the help desk do not help you or are not able to for whatever reason. There is a man there we think he is called Tom. He is very rude and has had a go at our members and telling them off. If you are not happy dealing with people you should not be working in a job like this! if this continues we will take it to the union and to Elen.
Excellent sound and atmosphere. Myrkur at Academy 2.
I've been here to watch various fashion and music events, all of which have been wonderful! The food sold here is reasonably priced. There are stalls and little market events such as a vintage sale and jewelry. In here there is also a hairdresser for an excellent price of £7. It is also the place to find support and access resources for international students and other people.
Incredible place and they are fully equipped for disabled people. Never been treated as well as the security treated us. They are a true credit & deserve a pay rise
Love all the academy venues. Academy 3 is great as small venue, so really close to the stage.
Staff at the help desk DO NOT help you. They just sit there with their phones or looking at the screen. One of the biggest union in the country and they can't sort out a friendly face for front of house!
4 venues all in one place of various sizes, good location in the city and sound, atmosphere always spot on at the venue.
Useless reception who were on the call always and never select it as the ASDA collection point because the reception said no one is in charge of it and I can not collect it at all.
Visited to use the box office, staff are friendly and all want to help, but took 3 visits to finally get one that could solve my ticket issue.
