Studied my BA in Photography here, loved the facilities, the environment and the units. The staff have always been very helpful and enthusiastic and having them all from professional walks of life really makes a difference. I was concerned with finding work post-degree but I was actually getting plenty of commissions through the university, the lecturers and various other contacts made here during my study which has been amazing. We had a few issues with timetables and organisation during the second year but this was due to a member of staff leaving suddenly so probably not indicative of the uni as a whole. I have been able to avoid part-time work thanks to the jobs offered by the Student Ambassador scheme, which works brilliantly and can really help when final majors are creeping up. The lift to upper floors has only broken down twice in the last 3 years which isn't a bad track-record but, as a disabled student, the lack of a fore-warning system has resulted in a few days of wasted fuel when the lift has been down. Parking is a major issue, but Chatham train station is close enough to not be an issue for most people and halls are only 10 minutes away. I've now progressed straight onto the MA course which is looking to be amazing, I'm sure that speaks more about my satisfaction in this campus than this review alone could.
