We stayed at Watch Hill in December 2022, it was a long-awaited big family gathering and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue. The house itself is just, WOW. The decor is stunning the pink bathroom is a dream, the house had been decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. We all felt so comfortable and relaxed, it was like a very grand home from home with everything you could possibly want or need. There is heaps of living space, every bedroom is spacious and the garden is great for those with children too. We loved being so close to the town as well, a short walk down the hill and we were by the sea! Perfect. Emilie has been so lovely as well so all in all, the whole experience has been fantastic. So much so we're going to make it an annual event. Roll on 2023!
The most gorgeous house No 46 in Torquay, serious style inspiration in every room. Perfect for a gathering with friends. We all loved the small thoughtful details and the many spaces the house provided. Walking distance to the beach, so perfect with kids. Unique holiday stays were lovely to book through too.
We had a fantastic experience booking with Unique Holiday Stays for a family weekend at Teign House. They have an incredibly professional and helpful approach. Communication was prompt, Emilie and Emma really helped us make the most of the weekend. The house itself was beautiful, it had the ‘wow’ factor and some wonderful touches over the 4 floors. We were a group of 14 all different ages and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. There was something for everyone at this property! I have been browsing more of their properties for future family gatherings!
The Cornish Tree house. Absolutely a stunning place to stay. John the owner has got it so right. Beautifully decorated, high end fixtures and fittings, top quality linen and kitchen accessories. My favourite part was the luxurious free standing brass bath and watching movies on the enormous projector screen. There’s also a sound system throughout the tree house which was great I’m sure we scared the birds away as we had it so loud. Basically an amazing stay which was easy to book with Emilie from unique holiday stays, she kept me updated and prompt with any questions I had. Nearly forgot the wood burner that was just so cosy didn’t really need to light it as wasn’t that cold! Thanks again to you all will definitely be back
Harbour View has, arguably, the most perfect location in Lyme Regis with stunning views out to The Cobb and the sea plus the huge advantage of ample parking!. The house is gorgeous, spacious, and well equipped with luxury touches. You can walk everywhere ... from picking up fresh fish every day to enjoying the cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Loved it!
We stayed in St Vincent’s Garden and whilst the view was sensational, the rest of chalet didn’t live up to the view. The garden was not private as described and so we had to keep the dog on the lead. We also had people using the garden and path as a cut through so we were disturbed in the night a few times. It’s interesting to note that other reviews we have seen on the property all highlight this issue with the garden not being enclosed as described in the listing. We had no contact from the hosts on arrival or after our stay so the hosting was non existent. There were hardly any kitchen utensils, only a couple of tiny pans, plates were small, no washing tablets, the tea bags we think were left behind from a previous stay. For the money and being advertised as a premium product we would have expected a little welcome box of teabags, biscuits and a few nicety’s. The cleanliness of the place wasn’t that great. The sofa was full of crumbs between the cushions, we had to wipe down the kitchen surfaces and put the hoover round the living area as they had crumbs and dirt on. Beware of the steps down the garden as some of them are loose and when you’re having to use your phone as a torch to take the dog out at night, watch out for dogs mess in the grass. Some outside lighting would help with this! Overall an average stay in an overpriced chalet where the fantastic view doesn’t quite make up for faults.
Very comfortable, spotlessly clean cottage right on the shore. Delightful! Two good sized bedroom suits and the whole cottage well appointed with modern, new fixtures and fittings. We used the uppermost bedroom and drifted off to sleep enjoying the sound of the sea crashing onto the pebbles. A lovely relaxing break.
Absolutely magical family holiday at St. Vincent's Cottage in Lyme Regis: we have never before arrived at a holiday rental and felt so immediately at home. Perfect for our 20-month old who settled really easily in the house; magnificent views of the bay - and so quiet! Perfect family home-away-from home; we will definitely be back. Thank you Emilie - you have been such a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend!
Hi, thank you so much we had a great time in the singelton Manor we arrived late night and all was prepared to a perfect stay, the heater was on and lights were on so we had a warm welcome to a cold night the house was sparkling with all the amenities. The pool was a real treat for all of us from old to young. We had a great stay thank you emelie who was available fir us all day even out of office hours. Looking forward for our next holiday with you. Thank you again for all your help which make our holiday the best ever.
We stayed at Watch Hill over a bank holiday weekend in August. The house is huge and beautiful, with excellent grounds and a fantastic sea view. Budleigh Salterton itself is a great seaside town, which I highly recommend. We booked the house directly through Unique Holiday Stays and dealt with Emilie who was a fantastic host. Our group was larger than most, and they put out extra beds to accommodate us. I cant recommend Unique Holiday Stays highly enough, ive seen some of the other reviews on here, and I cant disagree with them more strongly. Emilie and her team were responsive and great to deal with. If your looking for a spectacular house with a large group near the sea, you'll struggle to beat Watch Hill. Thanks for accommodating us Emilie and making our stay so pleasant.
