It was a great experience visiting Ulster museum in Belfast. The museum is located in the Botanic Gardens, which makes it a perfect place to explore. The building is large and modern, with many interesting exhibits inside.nnOne of the best things about the museum is that it is free to enter. This makes it a great place for families, students, and tourists. The museum has a wide variety of exhibits, including art, history, and science. There are ancient artifacts, dinosaur skeletons, and even an Egyptian mummy. The history section is very interesting, especially the parts about Northern Ireland’s past.nnI also enjoyed the art gallery, which has beautiful paintings and sculptures. There are both modern and classical artworks, so there is something for everyone. The science section is fun too, with interactive displays that make learning easy and exciting.nnThe staff at the museum are friendly and helpful. There is also a nice café where you can relax and have a cup of coffee. The gift shop has many unique souvenirs.nnIt’s a wonderful place to visit. It is educational, fun, and well-organized. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Belfast!
We only had a day to spend in Belfast and this was one of the places we prioritised to visit. My favourite section was the Irish history one but I am a history nerd! but also found the room dedicated to the Spanish Armada really interesting. Husband and kids really enjoyed the natural history and science floor, which was more their interest. The section about 'The Troubles' was well done and our children left having a better understanding about this period of history. There is a good art floor, which is a mixture of old and modern. This museum is free to visit but donations are appreciated.
This museum is a great place to visit and the best thing is that entry is free. I would recommend approximately two hours to visit this place. There may be some sections you wish to spend longer and then others. The section on The Troubles is very educational and worth a visit. Had a lovely stop at the cafe too. The docents were friendly and knowledgeable.
Really nice and informative museum. It’s pretty massive, the geography and natural history section is just so informative and interactive not just for children but also adults. Also a nice place to learn about Irish revolution.nnWe enjoyed visiting this place and surely recommend it.
Great visit to Ulster museum, lots of great displays to look at and the kids were entertained with the dinosaur bones, including real bones, apparently one of the most complete skeletons of an edmontosaurus in Ireland! There was a gems and crystal event on too with knowledgeable staff on hand to explain all about the subject. Free entry too so amazing value and well worth a visit. There is a cafe inside too with excellent food. I recommend the pancakes with maple syrup and Nutella
