Popped in this afternoon with my son, friendly bar tender Kate served us. Must say her customer service skills are excellent! Had the shrimp wrap which was really nice much better than the old recipe. My son had the 3 cutters for £14 which I think is a good deal too love a bargain! Squid tasty as ever, sweet corn fritters and the jerk pit glaze ribs absolutely fabulous. All in all would recommend to friends and would go again tasty food, fruity cocktails and friendly staff.

family treated me to a night out on Sunday (28/1/19) and i had a fantastic time!!! asides from he amazing company i was with, everything was delicious!!! wife went for a chicken one pot which looked to be a good size and filled her up (always room for dessert though ;) ! ) and my daughter went for the a beef burger which again was a good size and not spicy which was great as she isn't good with spice, so i was happy that there was something for everyone. i went for the chicken, and it was divine! really juicy and succulent. it came with rice and beans in it that tasted good too. the waiter Rodney seated to my table and a really friendly guy and our meals where taken from a young lady who was very attentive. all in all i had a really nice day out and wanted to say thanks. next time we our in town i will be coming back

Had an absolutely FANTASTIC time here with my husband. Food was brilliant as always, big fan of the chilli squid!! 241 cocktails fabulous too and nice girls Becca and Kate that served us a few cheeky drinks before our meal. Also thanks you manager think his name was Bob? He was friendly and helpful too. Be back soon!

Start with the positives: staff are welcoming, friendly and absolutely lovely. No heating at all in the restaurant. Completely understand that can't be helped, but to not be told there's no heating and have one small heater between 8-10 large tables in the coldest part of the restaurant seems a little shocking. If we'd been told there's no heating, we'd have asked specifically to move somewhere not around the glass windows where there's one hell of a draft. We ordered drinks, average price for town on a weekend. Slow service, not too busy. If you're going to order a soft drink I suggest asking for no ice as a large one comes in a milk bottle filled to the rim with crushed ice and when poured out into a glass it measures maybe just less than a standard 330ml can amount. After ordering starters we continuously asked if there was any way to have the heater turned slightly as the bar area was blocking anything from coming to it and nothing felt like it was coming out of it. The toilets downstairs were warmer than the restaurant upstairs. Food seemed to be lovely, except it was cold within 2 minutes of it being put on the table and 4 of our small group left more than half as it had got to the point of being stone cold to eat. A second round of drinks had to be chased up several times. At no point did anyone come to ask if anything was needed or if everything was alright for us. The atmosphere from the other customers was friendly and inviting even if you could only hear people disgruntled about the temperatures inside. The staff at the end couldn't have been more supportive and understanding, however if like stated before, if we'd have had prior warning it would have been helpful to decide to say no to being seated against three large glass windows where a chilly draft left everyone shivering.

Eaten here a couple of times before and always really enjoyed the food.. went last night with my friend and I wish we never bothered!! Cocktails were amazing but the food, DISGUSTING!!! I ordered the same dish I order every single time at turtle bay and never had anything like it.. the chicken just taste burnt, almost if you imagine the taste of a fully burnt, black piece of toast - like that. Tried a couple of the pieces of chicken just to check and yep, it was all the same!! My friend ordered a side of sweet potato fries and they were completely burnt, not the usual orangey colour sweet potato fries are but black! she didn't even touch them! Complained in an incredibly polite way to get the cocky response of 'where's the rest of the chicken then if it tastes so bad' so I ended up with jerk fries for tea and a cocktail and they only knocked 10% off the bill. The ladies toilets were also vile, water all over the floor, toilet roll in only one cubical and the one that did have toilet roll in didn't lock!! Disappointed to say at the least and won't be returning to the Preston turtle bay again anytime soon!!!!
