Great location! Shopping literally around the corner and the train station 5min walk away. We took the train into Blackpool. Service is wonderful, a chap who works here went out of his way to serve our gluten free breakfast correctly. Room was inviting. Really happy with this Premier Inn. Car park charges reasonable.
Main issue is lack of car park. There is paid parking round the corner but it’s a small car park that gets very busy and is not very well lit. Once I eventually found the entrance. It’s a large building with shops and various outlets on the ground floor. The entrance was a bit confusing and when I arrived there was no one in this table with a computer on and I saw two self check in machines with instructions how to activate a card for the room key. I had just started when someone came up and said I will do that and then checked me in. Then back to the lift through some heavy fire doors which I assume had to be kept closed as it wasn’t easy to navigate these with a case. A backpack and a laptop bag. Once in the room it was business as usual. Clean tidy and does what it is intends for so no issues with the rooms and cleanliness. What stands this hotelnApart from other premier inns I have stayed at was the view. Not that it was inspiring it was just looking out over A junction and the rest of Preston beyond but as I was on the top floor it was beautiful. I can’t remember the roomnNumber but if you get on floor five you may have a good chance of getting it. Really good stay
Stayed here for one night. Slight delay on checking in due to a problem with the computers but the gentleman who helped was very apologetic and friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy. Was a slight problem with air conditioning but was resolved quickly. Very close to all the pubs, bars and shops. 5 minute walk from train station too. Would happily stay again
We checked in late and the night receptionist was amazing. However, in the morning I asked for a ironing board and iron and got told I need to go from the top floor to reception to grab it as they had less staff. In the end they did give it. But it was atrocious service. Besides that, rooms are spacious. But the room does not have a phone to call reception I had to use my own mobile which was odd.
Stayed here for two nights to attend a course in UCLAN. The Uni is only 10min walking distance and there are plenty of shops around the premier inn to shop or buy food. Parking is opposite who use pay and display system. Rooms were great and beds were very comfortable. Toiletries and all amenities were perfect and no issues. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks
