• Not as advertised: e.g no WiFi anywhere in the house. There is also no pool, turndown service, room service, slippers, complimentary newspapers and fresh fruit available as described in their website; • Property devoid of resident manager or owner; • Large dwelling but given room on top (3rd) floor despite booking in March (only 2 other guests present in July?!); • Complimentary biscuits given, for example chocolate and Maryland cookie, but left unwrapped. They should have been hard but were soft when I took a bite; • Only basic breakfast given; • Plumbing and security issues with room; • Front door dark grey - needs a more cheery lick of paint; • Inside porch dark - no apparent lamp available; • Overpriced compared with similar accommodation; • Management seemed to be uncaring.

Absolutely perfect! We only had one night at the hotel but it was perfect in every way. Bucks Fizz on arrival, chocolates left in room, fabulous quality bed linen and the best mattress I have ever slept on other than our own at home. Everything was excellent quality, including the breakfast, which was brilliant. The manageress was extremely helpful and we couldn't recommend this highly enough. Well worth the cost.

A weekend break for my wife and I, we booked The Orchard House as our base. We found the guest house very clean and the rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety, and everything was cooked to perfection If and when we decide to return to the area, we would definately use The Orchard House again
