I run the Bedford Pub in Tunbridge Wells and have been applying for pavement licences and decking for outside the pub. For something that is not the easiest thing to do Trevor Horner from TWBC has been an absolute star in helping with the applications and who to apply to etc. Thank you A++++
Woken this morning and TWC have taken £350 for council tax without notice. They did not band my new property, not called, emailed or written to me with any information whatsoever. We were advised by themselves that they could not take any form of payment until they have banded the property and could not charge me for any previously owed funds as they should have banded the property. Yet I wake up and check the bank and they have just helped themselves and taken mine and my children's food money for the month and placed me in financial trouble. Happy New Year!
Have been in our apartment in Hamilton Cottages, Chilston Road for over 3 months & have had one dustbin emptied in that time. Keep emailing them but might as well hit your head against a brick wall. They just don’t care.
Having a fairly average Saturday I would never have thought that TWBC would be the one to cheer me up. I noticed an error with my parking charge and submitted an on-line query. I expected a full on debate lasting months, however, what I received was a phone call, within minutes, from a lovely chap who issued the refund straight away. Very impressive, prompt service.
I'd rather given 0 stars if possible. Exorbitant council tax bill, rising every year with rates triple the inflation! Delivering practically NOTHING. No proper recycling facilities. No proper refuse collection. Roads look nothing short of a moon surface. Emailed twice regarding various issues, and NO reply, as expected! Useless bunch of morons...
A town that builds countless homes but closes down shops and amenities, partly because of their exorbitant fees, for which the public and businesses get little in return. A town that possesses no idea about traffic management. The shopping centre is extremely weak compared to other towns with many shops closed down. As locals we are beginning to shop elsewhere where the variety is better and parking is cheaper
Wake up Kent! You have almost succeeded a rebellion!
Sick and tired of bin collections being so sporadic. Bins bring thrown once collected and not put back in the right place. Thursday; every food waste bin down my road not collected at all. This morning Saturday refuse lorry comes up the road, collects and empties one bin and then drives off! Crazy! Bring back Biffa!
Not impressed. Prone to wasting council tax payers money. Such as changing logo, the millennium clock, five ways. They should use the money to cut our bill, or put it into services to help people. Also helped ruin the the town by putting in the precinct, and the ridiculous bus gateway. Causing mayhem for drivers, in the process. Also, they have done nothing about the Old cinema site. Why? And as for the empty shops. They should concentrate on lowering the rents and business rates.
Terrible customer service at the council tax department. Horrible attitude, completely unwilling to hear your circumstances, very ignorant and simply don't care. I would have given 0 star if Google allowed.
