Food was lovely, full of flavour, cooked through for a change so many of their competitors love a bit of raw chicken Service was exceptional, very friendly and polite front of house, gave us extra onion bhajis! Tried for the first time after reading positive reviews. I had onion bhaji, lamb samosa, mixed donnar naan wrap, mint yogurt. The wait was 30 mins which was ok because the food was being prepared fresh. The onion bhajis were undercooked and still wet/soggy on the inside. The wrap wasn’t actually a wrap, it was a soggy mess without any salad like shown in the pictures on the wall. Given two mint yogurt dips instead of 1 garlic and 1 mint. The samosas were tasty but I suspect they were store bought and warmed up in waffle grill ‍ Overall very disappointing. I won’t return. In response to the owners post Nobody likes raw undercooked Onion Bhajis, that is quite a statement to say that I prefer my food “Well-done”. Cook them longer so they aren’t wet and soggy inside. Yes there was a confusion. On the large board inside your restaurant and on the online menu it shows a picture of a two wraps! If you don’t offer wraps why are there pictures of them? I even told the man serving I wanted that wrap and pointed. At no point was I informed you “no longer sell them” The presentation of the “naan” was awful. Just a disgusting blob of meat with “Indian garlic mayo” whatever that is!?!? You’re selling pre-made frozen samosas that are reheated in an airfryer I imagine looking at the grill marks on them. Very disappointed as I waiting for over 30 mins.
My first time visiting since relocating to the area. WOW!!! Tudor Tandoori didn’t disappoint. After hearing rave reviews I was eager to try…Phone ordering was easy, collected food and found a warm welcoming member of staff. The food was perfectly cooked, flavoursome and plentiful portions. Outstanding value for money, will be a regular treat as other establishments in the area simply cannot compete with the quality and service.
I visited this place to collect up a kebab meal which included drink and chips. When I asked for a Coke, they offered a warm one out of a store, saying they hadn't refrigerated the all the drinks and only few drinks are refrigerated. I declined and asked for a price adjustment from the meal deal to buy a cold drink elsewhere. The staff insisted I pay the full price, saying I hadn't specified that I wanted a cold drink. When I argued that it was common sense in summer, they became angry, took my food away, and refused to return it. The service was unprofessional and disappointing. I do not recommend this place.
Best Indian food in Stonehouse/Stroud. Great selection of food, even if someone doesn't fancy a curry there's chicken tikka fries, burgers and loads more! Highly recommend - especially the loaded chicken tikka naan with cheese + chilli cheese bites.
I’ve never had a bad takeaway from here. A huge range of options. The veggie and vegan options are fantastic - Veggie stuffed Nans are amazing - Very well priced - The go to Indian takeaway in Stonehouse - really friendly and helpful staff when ordering I’ve traveled from a neighbouring town to get food from here as it beats my local options by a mile!
Unique takeaway housed in a beautiful tudor building in the centre of town. Food quality is excellent and at very reasonable prices. Good menu selection with a mix of traditional favourites and some fantastic variations to provide plenty of choice. Friendly service. I call ahead to order, particularly at busy times e.g. Saturday evening as this takeaway can be popular, and there may be a wait, but it is worth it!
I wish I could comment on the food as I was really excited to try after a lot of recommendations but when I got there I was the only one in there, stood at the till for ages. Someone who worked there made eye contact with me twice and didn't bother to serve me. I ended up leaving as clearly they don't want the custom. I don't live near either so drove down to Stonehouse especially for that.
Tudor Tandoori is absolutely brilliant. The staff are great and the food is always fantastic - we are very lucky to have a takeaway this good in Stonehouse.Food: 5/5
