I have bought perhaps a dozen takeaways from this place, each time they are delicious and the service is always good. This time I got food poisoning. Not just a slightly poorly tummy, proper food poisoning, which took around 2 weeks to fully recover from. I contacted them to let them know, I did not ask for a refund and purely wanted them to investigate. They were polite and said they would investigate and that they would call me back the following day. They did not call back. I am a fit, healthy man and recovered fairly quickly. I hate to think what severe food poisoning could do to someone more physically vulnerable.

The best curry in the 5 valleys. Lovely service, tasty with good ingredients. The Tikka Fries are a particularly good and unique invention that everyone should try at least once in their life. What is it with Indian chefs taking British food and improving it?...Genius! What to expect? A good, down-to-earth traditional British style curry with strong colours, rich sauces and high quality chicken. Proper tandoor cooking adds a bit of quality missing from many others. Anything disappointing? Not really. My son ordered Tikka Masala which I am not a fan of, but the sauce had a coconut base that made it more similar to Korma than expected...but that's being really picky and mostly down to personal preference. Anything outstanding? Tikka Fries, Danshak, Prawn Puri, Onion Bhajis and the Tandoori mixed starter were all superior to anything we've had from other takeaways in the Stroud district. The highlight though were the chicken pieces which were cooked really well with a fresh texture that, I thought, came from properly sectioned chicken that was cooked on skewer in a tandoor...as opposed to the uniform blocks of frozen prepared chicken some takeaways seem to use more and more. Highly recommended.
