Cannot fault this bank, the customer service is very good, always friendly staff ready to assist if required.
Absolutely top quality customer service from Margaret, Gillian and team. Have needed the help & expertise of TSB staff to assist with completing Guardianship order and enquiries from DWP for my mum who has dementia. The support I have received has been amazing.
I called numerous times over 2 days to hear the message "we can't take your call, try again later or call into the branch"...when I finally got through on day 3 and asked about opening a bank account for a foreigner resident in Britain, they said that they couldn't accept the proof of address available a UK provisional photo licence and correspondence from Scottish Borders Council for acceptance on a SBC college course. They said contact us again when you have suitable proof of address. I called a competing bank and not only was the phone answered first try, I was quickly connected to the local branch where a polite staff member checked and confirmed that the documents we had were quite acceptable for opening a new account.
The staff at this branch couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for Fiona who answered our questions clearly and patiently when registering our POA for our mum. The standard of service in the Galashiels branch in comparison to the Penicuik branch was like night and day. See my previous review.
Wanted to change accounts and obtain a credit card for our daughter. After many calls with nobody picking up, we finally had to make an appointment as there was nobody available within the next few days - waited 1 week to speak to somebody. Staff not helpful, just sticking to their red tape. No interest in finding a customer friendly solution. Very disappointed, wasted journey. We closed our account.
Traveled 14 miles from kelso, arrived at 2pm. Told through a locked door we are close. Been a customer for over 60 years. Can't wait to change banks. Disgrace
According to this page, the bank was supposed to be open but upon arriving the doors were closed and had obviously been so since 1400hrs the previous day. NO NOTICE of intentions. Wasted journey and thus rent etc not paid. This review written on behalf of a customer of this bank, she was NOT happy at all!
