Had a fabulous Christmas meal here, The staff were really lovely and very attentive. The atmosphere was excellent and the meal was perfect. Would definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
Great atmosphere and great food. All the staff were friendly and helpful which made it a relaxed environment. The happy hour menu was cheap and most definitely worth the cost. The whole family enjoyed their meals. Vegetarian options: There was a good selection of vegetarian options and some vegan ones as well.
Good food that's well priced. Great selection on the menu. Excellent service by Michael who couldn't have been more helpful & so friendly. Thank you. Will definitely be back! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu & the staff were really welcoming to our 4 year old. Michael even charged her tablet for us.
I don't think I'll be back for a while. A friend and I went for a catch-up. The food was poor, and we left a bit miffed. I chose the beef cannelloni, and it didn't come with a side, so I ordered chips to dunk in the sauce. My friend had a big lunch, so she got the prawn starter as her main which she said was OK. There wasn't any sauce, unfortunately. I ate half of it but couldn't manage it as it was very dry and no tomato based sauce or white sauce on top, just mince and thick cheese, generally unpleasant. I was disappointed at £3.50 for unseasoned frozen chips, too. So they were also barely touched. I politely told the staff member when they took our plates away, and they came back and said the kitchen apologised. Our server was lovely and friendly. I'd like to add that. We stayed for a dessert, which was very nice. We felt like the staff couldn't wait to leave as they finish serving early on a Sunday. So all in all it wasn't the best experience I've had here and it seems to have changed a lot from past visits.
Very good restaurant. The food here is very tasty, good quantity, and good price. Value for money. In addition, the staff are so welcoming and professional. Go try it, you shall not regret it:
Food was really nice but overpriced for what you got. “Homemade chips” was a lie. Absolutely frozen. Some of the staff just appeared sick of their lives and that they didn’t want to be there, as if being there was an inconvenience to them. Biggest hate and quite a shocker to be honest…staff standing eating at the bar between serving customers. It just looked terrible!!! Won’t be returning
6 of us had lunch here. Good choice of food & drink. We all enjoyed our meals.Service was excellent. Not many diners in but from previous experience it's much busier on an evening so atmosphere is good. Parking: It's in the centre of town so off street parking is difficult. There are car parks in the vicinity. Currently first 2 hours free then £1 per hour.

My wife and I had a meal here for our 55th wedding anniversary. We both ordered Ribeye steak medium to well done. Both steaks were not ribeye and we’re burnt. Like most old people we ate what we could, paid the bill and left. Will not be back again!!!
Called in with no reservation and they found room for us before going to the Hippodrome, the staff, ambience, quality of the food was excellent and great value for money, will return when we visit Darlington again, would recommend booking first.Food: 5/5
