Staff are really friendly and helpful, unfortunately I was brought my main about 2 minutes after my starter! It was taken back as was eating my starter, only for it to come back out with another member of staff a minute later. When it came out after I had finished my starter, the steak was definitely not medium rare! Such a shame to ruin a £19 piece of steak.
Friday night family meal out, staff were friendly and service was good. Non drivers had Rubarb Gin, selection of starters - salt and pepper calamari, chicken goujons and Cheesy Wedges. Mains- chicken melt with fries and trio of steaks - unfortunately no room for dessert but they looked niceFood: 5/5
Not up to Beefeaters' usual standard. My steak & ale pie was ok. My other half ordered a build your own burger. Chicken breast, cheese and pulled beef. When it came it was so soggy it was impossible to pick up as the bun fell apart. The beef was £2 extra but didnt mind that until it came. there were 2 cubes of beef! Really!!? £1 each?? When we asked if this was right we were told that was the portion control but they'd knock it off the bill. For dessert the apple pie looked nice, but if you order the chocolate brownie ask for a pick axe to get into it. Next time we stay at this Premier we will eat elsewhere.
Breakfast was nice and filling each morning which lots of selection. Dinner - service wasn't great the 1st night, we were left waiting 45 minutes for the dessert menu and we eventually gave up. The 2nd night the lady who served us was brilliant, she couldn't do enough for us and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The 3rd night service was good again. Food was very nice each night and the banana sundae was delicious. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the waiter on 1st night Parking: Ample parking on site
Came here as part of a stay at the premier Inn next door. The breakfasts are well designed and lovely. The evening was great too. The Covid-19 safety rules are well thought out too.
Had breakfast and lunch there. I thought the breakfast was really good with a lot of choice. Had the lasagna for lunch which I would rate 6 out of 10. My wife had the salmon which was good but the roasted veg as a side was disappointing it was like it was cooked in liquid ice. Weird texture. I would rate it 3.5 out 5
Breakfast service was extremely slow. Someone took my hotel key card from my table when I got up to get a cup of tea. The waitresses were not helpful at all when I asked nicely they didn’t care until I raised my voice. Suddenly the waitress came back with my key card.
Arrived at 09:05 ordered a diet coke straight away and asked for a few moments to look at the menu. At 09:43 I chased up the diet coke which had clearly been forgotten about. Got told this was because the coffee machine was broken and they were hand making the coffees.... There was no one at the bar making any drinks and numerous tables behind us and much larger had been served their hot drinks. Finally got to order food about 09:55 and food arrived very quickly after. Really not worth the wait at all.
I received an email as a member saying we could get a free child’s three course festive meal with an accompanying adult meal. When we got to the restaurant the manager refused to go or it, telling us that the voucher had been printed wrong and we could only get a main meal and not what was on the voucher. This is extremely misleading to send out vouchers that your restaurants aren’t going to honor. We went out as a family of 6 thinking we had a voucher to use and weren’t disappointed and left without buying any meals and will not be returning as your vouchers are a con and not honoured by you restaurants despite it saying in black and white that the voucher covered the festive menu. Not only that but the manager had us sat around waiting over 20 minutes while he checked the terms of the voucher to then still come back and refuse it. Disgusting service
Had breakfast here, all cooked fresh and tasted lovely. Had to fill in a firm stating how many items of each thing you wanted. Was expecting a buffet style.Food: 4/5
