I tried this place for the first time yesterday and I loved it! I had the curried chicken roti and it was an absolute flavour bomb. Really rich flavours with the right amount of spice. The lovely who owns the shop was so lovely also. I'll be back there again soon!Food: 5/5
I traveled across the country to visit the shop. There may be lots of Caribbean shops, but there are hardly any Trinidadian food shops. The service was very quick and they were very polite. They have drink options available that you can only get from Trinidad. The food was fantastic. The doubles were amazing. The curry goats and roti made perfectly. The pholourie was very Tasty. I’m Trinidadian myself and although my family can cook all of these meals, it’s always nice to be able to go somewhere we can get a home-cooked meal ready-made to go. Thanks for the home cooked meal. Vegetarian options: Trinidadian food in general has lots of vegetarian options as it’s a mixed Indian culture. All meat options come in a vegan or vegetarian option and still taste amazing. Doubles, pholourie. Rice and peas, Chana and aloo and more.. if you want the taste of Trinidad those options are exactly the right choice. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options. Food is clearly labeled for any dietary restrictions. You can easily ask about the ingredients to find out more. Kid-friendliness: Lots of Trinidadian sodas that kids would love as well as snacks. Open space for family groups to eat together. A family was in there eating. Wheelchair accessibility: Large door space and no step to get inside.
I've been supporting this business for many years and have recommended countless people to try the food. In the last year I've noticed the quality of the food deteriorate massively but still kept returning. Today was defo the last for me. The doubles was atrocious. The bara was thick and rubbery, channa so course I took two bites and thought no way I can finish this. I've had a few of my friends say the same but this is just not okay that they're happy to charge for the food but not delivering what is expected. Epic fail!!

The service was extremely slow at the weekend. Waited over 30 minutes for my food, and the old man in the chair does not smile, and the staff are not sociable or friendly. It does not take much to be happy at work. They need to change their attitude. Won't be going there again.
Loved the fiery owner. However Ive tried roti before and it was different than this one. The taste was good but not the best I've had. Didnt really care for the mac and cheese, it was quite stiff and needed salt. Some of my lamb was quite fatty, but I ate it. Good prices for the roti. And the portion size was big.
Wow! Tastes like home. My mum went here today and had fun talking to the owner about Trinidad. I’m currently enjoying the chicken roti and already eaten the pholourie. It is soooo good. Highly recommend a visit for great take out food. Many thanks for the roti skins as well!! I just need a Carib now

The overall presentation and taste was generally good. The curry wasn't ideal tasting but the meat and potatoes were well cooked and consistency was saucy. It made sense to eat with utensils rather than fingers otherwise it will be too messy. There's also no running water to wash hands.
