Stayed for one night, didn't arrive until late but all the staff were very friendly. There isn't a great deal of parking, but enough, and it's free. Everything was very clean and had everything we need. Nice size grassy area outside to walk the dog around. Next door to a Gregg's and a Burger King. The road outside is quite busy but wasn't enough to keep us awake.
Ideal for an overnight stay, clean comfortable room with, bathroom, TV and coffee making facilities. 24 hr reception desk and friendly staff. Small free car park outside but plenty of space when I stayed. There isn't a bar or restaurant, but Greggs and Burger King to one side and a wonderful big farm shop with a restaurant to the other side. There was some traffic noise in the morning, but not as loud as you would expect for the location. I would stay there again if I was working in the area. Nearby activities: A nice friendly leisure centre located 2 mins drive away with a swimming pool. Craven leisure centre.
An old travelodge that was fine, but not amazing. Would normally give it 3 stars but giving it 4 because the bed was so comfortable! I slept really well. That was until around 5.15am when regular banging nosies woke me up. It sounded like doors being closed within the hotel somewhere, constantly. It also got noisy outside from 6/6.30am. The shower doesn't have great water pressure which was a shame. But other than that the room seemed clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
This travel lodge is located in an excellent area if you enjoy walks particularly in Spring as the paths can be slippy at this time of year and it is of course very dark and cold. Anyway, I booked into here for 3 days at the end of July, with the intention of completing the Skipton to Ilkley trail but shortly after arriving and before check in, I experienced an emergency and asked the receptionist to call the authorities for me. The first response was that I need to do that myself. Admittedly I got angry so she did make the call eventually, I checked in but when help came, I ended up being hospitalised for a month. My friend visited the travel lodge the next day to collect my items and she asked about a refund as I had paid around £250. This was refused as I had booked a saver slot but they did say they were concerned about me. I myself had only intended to ask for a partial refund as I acknowledged that I had used the room to store my items for a day, although I had left the key with reception staff. It is disappointing that this was the second response under circumstances that were beyond my control.
A little dated and had a room next to the main road which was fairly noisy.but comfortable and clean.Rooms: 4/5
Good clean, ideal for the 1 night stop over. The staff were very helpful.Rooms: 4/5
Average for a Travelodge. Value for money apart from the breakfast boxes - don't bother with these, there are other food outlets literally on the doorstep.Rooms: 4/5
All in all, a decent place to stay, for the price. The reception staff are absolutely LOVELY. Super convenient to have a Gregg’s, BK, and farm shop just seconds away. The carpets could do with a bit of an overhaul, but generally it’s clean and comfortable.
Why have a phone number at all if it's premium?? I'm from out of country and can't call you. Why have prices advertised, then when someone goes to pay it's double the price with no explanation? Absolutely useless!!
Awful place. Smelly, dirty, carpet very old and worn with what looks like bleach marks . My room also had a lock that must have been forced at some point as had hole around the inner lock. Only 2 teabags and coffee, no idea what they expect if 2 are sharing a room. No hairdryer and only place to eat is burger King or subway next door. Other nearby closes early. No breakfast even though paid for. Skipton is beautiful though
