On the edge of Dartmoor National Park this hotel is well located for walking trips and days out. Just beside the A30 outside Okehampton it is easy to get to and drive all over Dartmoor. The exterior looks weathered and tired but inside the hotel is well maintained and the staff are incredible. The rooms are big and recently refurbished. Bedding is white and fresh and carpets are spotless. For the price there is no better accommodation in the area and with Dartmoor across the road it is a place. Our room at the back of the hotel overlooked open farmland and then from the Reception doorway you look straight onto the Moor.
The location was just right. It's simple the room was clean and adequate. Service with a smile. Food to eat nearby is a big plus.
Terrible promise breakfast but there’s non weird mattress dirty toilet gross!at least I had fun with the news game lol no cats good thing is nice kind happy staff Michael was amazing and he licked donuts I could not get to sleep Me at six am
Maintenance and cleanliness needs to be updated in travelodge hotels, shower had red/ pink mold and stagnant water, dusty and cob filled rooms.nThere was rubbish in my bin from previous lodgers.nStayed there out of desperation not preference.nReceptionist was keen to help and improve stay but travelodge needs to maintain its sites.
For the price and the location I thought it was great! Service was great too! They even rang me up to inform me of a left item in our room thanks again!nThe lady at the desk was very cheerful and welcoming!nThe room was very warm and very clean!nnSaying that, like other reviews I’ve seen the rooms are indeed abit “tired”nAs in the silicone around the bath has a few black bits, the spoons were abit mucky, ect. But again worth it if your not nit picky, 95% of it was clean, I didn’t hear any cars too even next to the road,nMy night there was great, thanks again
