I don’t even know how to explain or start writing about the severity of the awful ill treatment I received from the hotel manager specifically and the staff as well. Unfortunately for domestic abuse reasons I became homeless then I was rehoused by the council social services in this hotel temporarily, I signed an agreement in Maidenhead council offices then I moved to stay in the hotel, after 10 days approximately I was asked by the hotel staff to sign another document blindly after explaining to them I need to reed the content of the application carefully before signing, then the hotel manager started threatening me seriously and very aggressively to sign the document blindly or he will throw me in the streets again, for my own safety I started recording him with my mobile phone which led him to step up the aggressive threatening behaviour I could’ve retaliated to the same level of aggression but I remained calm and collective with every attempted aggressive and disrespectful endeavour the hotel manager pulled out of his book to lure me into retaliation and at the same time the police was informed as if my aggressive retaliation is inevitable but I disappointed them by continuing to remain calm and collective, at this point the hotel manager rushed out as if something greater is going to happen, Anyway they couldn’t make me retaliate and then the hotel staff escorted me to collect my belongings from my room and leave the hotel, and on my way out they simply said you’re welcome, and I replied you kicking me out just for refusing to blindly sign a document, so you mean I’m welcomed out of here but not to stay again, isn’t it right, but they remained silent .nSecondly, the service during my stay was awful and every time I had to remind and advise them respectfully that the cleaning wasn’t good and the bed sheets were not changed, I also developed a skin rash and bruised myself by scratching my skin excessively, then I mentioned to the deputy manager that I do suspect bed bugs in my room, but instead of finding a solution I was threatened nicely to take back what I said about bed bugs and to delete a video I have taken about the mess state of the room after the cleaning of the room.nI can go on and on but I think what I wrote shows enough the whole clear picture of the aggressive, disrespectful and ill treatment I have been subjected to by the hotel staff gangsters, and by the way, I’m a black peaceful Muslim just wondering why on earth I did receive such a beautiful treatment.nNote: something I forgot to mention is that the first time I refused to sign the document blindly the hotel manager sent two white English gentlemen to my room, they started banging and kicking the door extremely aggressively despite the sign on the door saying “Please don’t disturb”, when I opened the door for them they said they were mistakenly given the wrong door number, but when I calmly explained to them the don’t disturb sign hanging on the door means the room is occupied and if the door didn’t open then there were no need for kicking and banging the door aggressively and they should’ve went back to the reception, then they apologised and left, and it was that unbelievable simple for the hotel manager to send someone to the wrong room after an incident took place,… well I find this so coincidentally weird , was it a type of provocation to lure me into reacting in a aggressive manner, or what else it could’ve been and why ?nI’m wondering does this also deserves one star only, or minus unlimited the complete opposite of stars
Stayed here as it’s just a 15 min drive to Legoland. Biggest negative is there is no air conditioning in the rooms, got pretty warm in there. Although they had placed fans in the room. Room was on the 5th floor and was clean and spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff and the service was great! The breakfast was tasty!
It's a good value hotel. Rooms aren't the cleanest or highest quality but are well featured for the price. The location is great, right by the train station. Service was okay, friendly staff at check in but I was disturbed by room service at 10am on the Sunday I was due to check out, annoying since check out isn't until 2 hours later at midday. Overall for the £34 per night I spent it's not badnnQuick tip, If you're planning on having a shower don't forget about the hard water in this part of England, my hair wasn't happy with it.
Unfortunately, I had a lot of loose black hair, stains on the quilt, dirt on the shower curtain, dust everywhere, dirty mirrors and chairs, handles in the shower cabin and plugs in the sink and bathtub. The receptionist was very nice and professional, so he offered me another, even larger room and helped me move my things, for which I am very grateful. Unfortunately I had the same problem, short black hair and long ladies hair and I noticed when I got up at 5:45 that the lock on my door was open, so I wonder if the house keeping works at night or maybe someone else visited me. This was a shock for Me. I feel very sorry for the receptionist because it's not his fault, but the management and cleaning ladies should be fired. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Excellent basic twin and accessible twin rooms booked. Contacted staff in advance re blue badge parking and advised of 5 spaces they share with Sainsbury Local shop. Very easy check in very friendly helpful staff. Was able to get blue badge parking both on arrival and return from sister’s 60th bash. Had lovely all you can eat breakfast very tasty and enjoyed by all the following morning booked in advance. Plus slept really well on very comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend. If you wish you can upgrade rooms etc but was prefect for us as only one day stay may be if was staying longer might upgrade but rooms very clean and spacious enough as only one bag. If for was week would upgrade if sharing room. Lovely helpful friendly staff. Enjoy. Ps get extra towel for floor before you have shower. . Oh forgot to take photos before dumped our stuff and was very hungry so not breakfast pictures either but will try and remember next time.
