Visited the Trading Post today with a disabled family member. On arrival we parked in a disabled spot right outside the restaurant which was great. Off loaded the wheel chair and proceeded to go in. Only problem was a very large ramp where the doors opened. We struggled at first to get the chair over the threshold with no success. There was no sighs saying another entrance nor was there anything to say they had a ramp. I had to leave them outside while I went in. luckily it was a nice day. By the time I had managed to speak with a member of staff the other family member managed to get the wheel chair over the threshold with the help from another customer. The staff member was very friendly and informed me they had a removable ramp. This is not disable friendly as all dignity was taken away because we had to ask. Once inside we had a nice meal and drinks. On leaving we had to ask again for the ramp and have every one watch. People in wheelchairs should not be treated differently. Having a lower threshold could vastly improve the experienced or even a sign.

Always busy on Sundays which is a good sign, the carvery was good value for money. The food was all freshly prepared. My only downside is that the seating is a bit tight in places. All in all a decent Sunday lunch at a reasonable price. My daughter enjoyed the play area too.

We have been back to this pub a few times since the old managers left and each time have come away feeling very disappointed. The food is barely edible, the customer service is atrocious (bar a few members of staff) and the product knowledge of the new staff is non existent. Please give them a chance and train them properly, there never seems to be anyone with any authority working! Our last visit was no different and we have decided not to return again and will definitely not be recommending to others. What was once a well run establishment unfortunately has turned into a complete shambles.

Mothers day very busy. Staff very good. And organized. Only the odd one insists on calling lady's "guys" x

The trading post has a really good atmosphere and the food is good, as is the service. The only gripe I had in the past is the food from the carvery is not hot enough.
