Went here off a recommendation and it is an alright spot. I liked that there were both indoors and outdoors seating. The open space at the back is great for summer. Didn’t particularly like the pancakes I ordered and the other part of my order was wrong. Kinda expected as the attendant didn’t write it down. The poached eggs that I eventually received was not that good. I liked the hot chocolate though. Service was relatively fast.
I recently discovered a great little brunch spot with a lovely back garden tucked away from the street. The food was really well-cooked and flavorful without being overly pricey, which was a nice surprise. We tried the pancakes and scrambled eggs with chorizo and chili, and both dishes were spot on. The relaxed atmosphere and good food make it a place I’ll definitely be returning to. If you're looking for a laid-back brunch with great food, this place is worth a visit!
This is a great spot to just get an amazing cup of coffee with a pasty or for brunch. We just came for coffee and we’re surprised by the larger seating area in the back. The flat white was on point and I highly recommend the carrot cake to go with it! Great atmosphere and super friendly staff.
I popped into Trade for a quick breakfast while I was moving from one AirBnB to another. I was somewhat stressed that morning, carting my luggage with me, but the server was very kind and found a place out of the way to park my bags. Her helpfulness and friendly service was really welcome that day. I ordered the fried egg, avocado, and chili oil. It was absolutely delicious. I had never had cruncy chili oil before and I am now hooked! This combo was filthy gorgeous, so tasty and luscious with the crunchy oil, the cool smooth avocado, the rich eggs, and the just-soft-enough bread roll. It is most definitly something to eat with a knife and fork, things will not go well if you try to pick it up to eat it, so be warned. The flat white that I ordered with oatmilk was an excellent accompaniment, a really nice smooth dark roast to the coffee bean. I would recommend you stop at Trade if you want a delicious mel and excellent service in a very hip and relaxing environment.
Lovely brunch place in Aldgate East. The dishes are delicious! Definitely one of my go to places in this area for brunch. Seats are a bit crowded but good atmosphere.Food: 5/5
We made Trade our daily breakfast spot for our London trip because the food is truly fantastic! Great choices, nice portion sizes on the larger side and tastes amazing! We especially enjoyed the pancakes and the grilled cheese as well as the nutella roll! Also the ambience is cozy with great retro music to start your day. Can only recommend.
The best breakfast place in London - for many years already! I always eat here when I come to London! Smashed avo, eggs and Chorizo is my favorite.Food: 5/5
I have been their regulars for 8 years, a Ruben was £7 back then, it’s now £12 Bloody Inflation! But we are still coming here often. Great quality food and service as always. My favourite has to be chicken and bacon club though! Recently I tried their pancake OMG that was sooooo good. From the look to the smell and the texture! The portion is big so you can easily share between two people. The have this hidden garden which is a plus for brunch on a day with good weather. Lovely open space. Avoid weekend if you want to have a good experience coz they are always full.
Ordered an iced mocha.. I got a drink which basically had some chocolate dusting at the top. Wasn’t good.
Nice cafe with dine-in area. We had Chorizo, chili & egg, and buttermilk pancake. Both were nice. The chili tastes amazing and is my personal fav. Pancake has huge portion for me and the maple was good, recommend ricotta as topping. Would come back! Btw it’s a bit noisy as there’s basically no gaps between tables and we need to “yell” at each others. Apart from this all good
