Only went in to get out of the rain but the breakfast first one on the menu was excellent and great value£6.70 including drink and toast. Great polite & fast service as well. Much prefer this than an overpriced Hotel breakfast
Had breakfast there everyday I was in London. Great local vibe and reasonably priced.
Two stars only because the food was decent and the staff was relatively nice. Came here today 1 hour before closing. The place was empty, we sat down and ordered two orange juices. They gave us two glasses of orange juice from concentrate which is fine as it cost only 1.50£ each, however the taste was horrendous. They could have chosen better orange juices as this one tasted like toilet water. We ordered two breakfasts 6-7£ fairly priced. My partner wanted a coffee, but she is lactose intolerant so she asked for soy milk or any other dairy free option, they had none. To whoever is milk intolerant or allergic I don't recommend you coming here, but try other cafes in the area who do have dairy free options. However, the worst thing about the whole experience was this toilet smell that really put us off. After the breakfast arrived I started smelling this sewage smell, I had no idea where it was coming from. I honestly tried to rush my breakfast as much as I could, I couldn't bear the smell anymore. I didn't say anything as I don't think the staff could have or would have done anything. I left unsatisfied and I think the place doesn't deserve 4.4 stars.
Great full english breakfast at an average price. A must in Paddington
Such a great little spot for a very reasonably priced hearty breakfast!
I go here often for lunch. The place is always busy, as it has very good food. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Service is good. Portions are a good size and not expensive for the area. £6.20 for a main and 90p for a cold drink. The kofte in the photo was my choice a few times and it is beautiful. If you want something to eat quick, good and with an OK price when in Paddington, don't miss this place.
With the decline of the Working man's cafe, Dylan Dog, Stikes a wonderful balance of honest food in a clean and comfortable setting. I usually have an omelette of some sort and have never been disappointed. The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive.
Hidden gem - English breakfast was large portion and decent priced! The music is classical, making it a nice vibe. The owner was funny and sweet! Would definitely recommend!
Pros. - Warm welcome by the staff here. - Great value considering the location. - Good location for Paddington station. - Great breakfast & good portions. - Staff are super friendly, courteous and efficient! Definitely recommended.
Some of the best places for a good and reasonably priced english breakfast I've yet discovered in London. On the plus side, it's not as crowded as many of the more touristy places where people go to get standardized food.
