I can't comment on the sport facilities but the pond and wildflower meadow are great. Aquatic birds include Canada Geese, Coots, Mallard Ducks, Moorhens and an occasional Heron.nnThe Sports and Social Club has three bars - a large public bar and two suitable for meetings and events. The public bar is standard social club stuff - the decor's not great but the staff are friendly and the drinks are cheap. The choice of beers and ciders on tap is limited - this isn't a venue for real ale and cider enthusiasts - but is fine for a quick pint or two on a sunny afternoon.nnOne major downside is the entrance from Orchard Gardens - it looks more like it's there to keep people out than to welcome them. Litter can be a problem too, particularly around the skate park and the pathway that leads to Highbridge Street and McDonalds.nnAll in all it's a lovely place to spend a summer afternoon. The pond particularly is a great, and underused, picnic spot.

Great park. Good walk for the dog and a nice play area for kids.
Nice for an early morning dog walk, quiet and well maintained. Would rate 5 stars for that.nnLater in the day unfortunatley big kids dominate the skate park and there can be a bit of trouble with young adults mugging children. Needs security patrols.
