I came to ask about battery charging service yesterday. The shop assistant was polite and explained to me what to do. I mentioned that I had a problem just opposite the shop. My car would not start because battery got flat. My wife went there later to leave the battery to charge. Firstly she was asked: 'do you have something to do with the bloke who came in earlier? We tried to explain him but he spoke language that we do not understand'. This comment was made by another shop assistant. I even did not speak with him in the first place. The racist comment made us very upset. We live just opposite and we always shop in the same shop for years. I never had any problems with communication. I speak English. It was my first bad experience in this shop.

Over the past 12yrs my vehicles were old bangers and needed far more tender loving care, so I would use Total Motor Factors (TMF) a lot, both for car parts and tools.
For the past three years I've had a vehicle that is more reliable, but when it does need working on I do so at the other end of the city so TMF isn't as close for parts.
Even in the past TMF always had the parts I needed on the shelf, even some unexpected items such as steering racks, water pumps, shocks, hubs, as well as the normal service parts.
This was my first visit to the store in about two years, but yet again they had the part I needed on the shelf, they matched it up with the old one I took in, a NSF inner CV Boot, a part I couldn't get elsewhere in Portsmouth, the biggest bonus was it was just shy of £20 cheaper at £9, and still a good quality component!
I leave fair and honest reviews about businesses I've used, and have no concerns in recommending Total Motor Factors to anyone who wanted vehicle components, spares, tools, oils, manuals etc...
