Just finished a bike repair course with these guys and I can't recommend it enough. They are such lovely people and what they don't know about bikes isn't worth knowing. They'll be the first place I go if I ever need it. Thank you for running such a great course.
Made an appointment to get my bike serviced... Got to the shop for the appointment and no one was there, shop was closed - despite it being within their posted opening times - and no answer on the phone. I'd also tried to call earlier to say I was running late, but no answer then either. It is very frustrating as I'd organised my morning around getting the bike to the shop and making my way there, as I wanted to support a local business. There was no notice, no email other than confirming the time, and no phone call to say the scheduled time was not viable on their end. I've also heard nothing back from them since. What a waste of a potential new customer's time! Needless to say I won't be returning.
Without doubt the best mechanics I’ve ever met in a bike shop. Incredibly accommodating, highly knowledgeable and always willing to help. The go to place for any bike and the only people I trust with Campagnolo and high end mountain bikes. Awesome bike shop!
A true asset to the Community! Not only do Southsea Cycles know their stuff, they are also extremely kind and helpful. My running stroller broke whilst out for a run so I came limping into the shop trying to keep my pushchair including 18month old in one piece. They fixed the pushchair and even more didnt charge for the bolt needed. Absolute diamonds! Trustworthy, kind, knowledgable, you cant ask for more when looking for repairs. RECCOMMENDED!! We need more businesses like this in Southsea
I have been using this place for a year or so now, the blokes who work there make you feel very welcome and they're very accommodating. They make my two daughters feel involved and ask about how there day is every time I hire the carriage bike which they love. As an example, I was running late due to missing the ferry from hayling and again it wasn't an issue, literally told me to enjoy another beer whilst I wait for it. So reasonably priced as well. I won't be using anyone else in future. I couldn't recommend them enough. Top blokes.
Excellent, friendly service, every time! Nothing is too much trouble. You'll get honest technical advice, very reasonable prices and quick turn around. What more could you ask for? Leave your mobile number and get a text when it's ready to collect - easy! Support your local cycle shop!
I was in Portsmouth for a weekend , with a ride planned on Sunday back to London edit: bike felt awesome and was riding better than it had all year, the 192 km ride was silky smooth. I had some problem with the front end. The lads at Southsea cycles were able to diagnose it and I ordered the part delivered to them on Saturday. They had it all sorted and put some new tubeless tyres on for me as well. Very reasonably priced and exceptional service. Thanks so much .
Called and emailed ahead, received responses. Tried twice to drop my bike off on arranged days. Google maps said they would be open, nope : I'll stick to the competitor 20mins further down the road. 3 stars as it could be really good, but I will never know.
Popped in with my road bike - very friendly, great service, and would totally recommend! Will be bringing my bikes here in future
