If you’re a new customer I just want to inform you that it doesn’t say on the website or on any delivery app about specific things. Such as, if you order the oxtail you are meant to specify if you want the sauce with it. I found this out after calling thinking I was given the wrong size. This didn’t really make much sense to me as rice and peas are served with it normally And I’ve never had that experience ordering or eating from any other Caribbean place. It should be stated because now I’m left with dry rice and some meat. I understand some people don’t like the source but to assume that for all customers I think is quite misplaced. The food is alright just a bit disappointed in that And wouldn’t want you to be either. Thank you for cooking the food though TOO SWEET. Please do think about this suggestion and make that clear on your site or delivery pages. All the best. Bless
While this place looks aesthetically nice and clean. Unfortunately we were confronted with unfriendly/rude service, and the food is average at best. I will not be returning, there are far better and more professional Caribbean places to support and spend your money.Food: 2/5
Ordered on Uber eats about 20+ times from this place, they forgot an item this one time so I requested my money back on Uber eats for the one item after all this time being a loyal customer to them. I notice that after this day they kept on denying my order so I called to ask why and the lady started SHOUTING down the phone talking about the item was there and I’m trying to explain that it wasn’t and I’ve always ordered from her so i wouldn’t lie but she kept shouting so I handed up. So UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They lost a loyal customer, my new favourite restaurant is survivor Caribbean Restaurant, they’re food taste much better and their customer service is amazing!
I was unfortunately a regular here due to my nan stating that the food did the job which isn't a high bar, three day old road kill would do the job if one was starving in the desert regardless, I reluctantly ordered from them again only for my order to be cancelled. I rang them up to enquire only to be lambasted down the phone by none other than an aunt Jemima figure who wasn't sweet but incredibly sour. In the depths of her delusions she began to scream at me for giving them a terrible review and complaining about them which I never have... Until now. I have never been spoken to by someone in that way from a restaurant before, she must have got me mixed up with someone else but quite frankly the food here isn't good enough to be acting like your Gordon Ramsey, I strongly urge anyone even considering giving this establishment money to burn it instead because at least then you'd be warm, a disastrous kitchen. I hope Aunt Jemima's family gets her the help she desperately needs I have contacted Uber Eats to get them wiped off the app forthwith.
I'd never thought I'd have to give a 1 star review. This is my 2nd attempt in eating from this place. 1st time was a disaster. What I wanted was not ready despite being open from 10am and I was there from about 1pm. Overall experience and food does not justify the cost of what you pay for. I thought I'd give them a try again. Being completely neutral, forgetting my 1st experience. I had a horrible experience yet again disappointed. I was ignored service assuming that I was with a friend and we were to be served together. Just 2 customers queuing for food having a shirt chat. I can't speak for their meat meals as I am purely vegan however my food was a shamble. Plantin was drenched in oil, my festival wasn't too bad though I was charged for 2 when I bought one. Veg pattie was mediocre. Remember my experience on either occasion could reflect on a multitude of reasons for why my service was the way it was. Always good to read and gain an idea but try and be impartial. Always worth giving some places a try. I've tried places that was 1 star and lived the food and had a good experience. Maybe it could have been the reviews that made certain places to make changes. Keep an open positive mind.
I am a regular customer from the local area and everytime I visit for some food i become very frustrated with the not so English mannered customer service, then I get home an smile with delite when I've finished eating ALL. I JAMAICANS. Food can't be too bad if the cue is always going outside an round the corner. Parking: Parking can be a little tricky on some days
I use to eat from here for years from the beginning…if I couldn’t be bothered to cook. How are they getting away with serving people this food and calling it Jamaican/Caribbean food,I don’t know!! Food has been burnt in a pressure cooker or over heated numerous times until the meat is tuff! Curry goat or should I say mutton Flavours not correct just taste like oil and curry powder can’t taste nothing else in it and bland! Such a shame ! If you eat this food and tell me it’s nice you haven’t got a clue! Oxtail is badly cooked with the tail been cut numerous time to spread the amount of food with no meat and pure bones excessive amounts dark browning used no flavour and no authentic seasoning…can’t taste no garlic scallions peppers ect ect nothing!
We stopped in to look and had a great authentic meal. The staff was very helpful in finding food that she thought we would enjoy. She gave us taste testings of some foods that we did not know. We highly recommend this place and if we lived in the neighborhood we would go there a few times a week.
Good food, very very VERY slow service as they’re always talking, if they stopped talking so much they might not always have a queue coming out the door
Went In for some lunch on Saturday at midday. The food is actually very nice but the service is a real let down. Very snappy and lacks any care for customers. As we waited for our meals we had the privilege of hearing the telephone conversation of one member of the team and the lady serving was very snappy at us making our selection. As annoying as it may be when a customer is taking a few mins to choose, with this being our first visit and the menu being large- it took us a minute or 2 to choose. The food is very nice. I can’t knock the food at all. But the service has put me off ever spending my money there. I would have liked a greeting upon entering the shop and to not overhear the employee discussing personal matters- in most work environments making phone calls happen on breaks and not in front of customers. I sadly would not use this shop again, which is a shame but I cannot find it on myself to pay for that level of service
