Stunning venue. Stunning food. Stunning service. Steak was cooked to perfection. Amazing selection of starters, both indoor and outdoor heated seating areas.  We wanted to try something new and it really suits a special occasion, in this case a family get-together.

We called in last night, we haven't been for quite some time.after having a okay meal.. We used to love going, always had the last bit of the sunshine.  Anyway, on our way home last night we decided to give it another try  Gosh I wish we hadn't, we ordered food arrived and to say disappointing is a understatement.  I had the burger wish I assumed would be lovely brisket meat, honestly it was like rubber, over cooked and not a ounce of flavour, I asked for a a fried egg on the top which was cooked right through.. massive chunks of white onion and soggy wet salad.. my partner ordered lasagne, which had a thick congealed white sauce that you pretty much had to cut through I've never seen anything like it. They asked if everything with our meal was OK..  and I explained above.. after much back and forth i explained I'd pay for half of the food, to be honest I thought that was really reasonable.  Super disappointing, apparently the chef makes mistakes! The chef clearly doesn't care about food, one waiter said she he told chef about our complaints and he didn't want to repeat what he said. As a chef for many years previously, and worked within hospitality for years I've never seen such lack of care for a chefs job!  Absolutely terrible.  We won't be retuning for food.. my 9 year old can cook better!  I mean it says something if you can't fry a egg!  Such a shame.

Lovely meal at lunch time today 26th oct in the restaurant, the bar and restaurant where packed yet the service was spot on and all the staff where very friendly even though they where busy. Not been for long time but will defo we will be back again soon.

First time going for evening meal, lovely setting, great table service and reasonable prices for food, recommend booking in advance, will definitely be returning.  Kid-friendliness: Noticed high chairs

Food allergy sufferers beware!! I was impressed to see that the menu was helpfully annotated with a comprehensive list of potential allergens, though disappointed to find that the choices that did not contain my particular nemesis - milk - were limited to the usual something and chips. Then I spotted sea bass with pea and asparagus risotto - allergens listed gluten, fish and sulphites. Great. However, just to be sure I asked the waitress, who trotted off the check and came back to announce it did indeed contain milk!!! When I commented about the omission on the menu she told me they hadn’t had a problem before and that the menu only listed what was in the dish, not what wasn’t??? I gave up on her at that point and opted for vegetables instead of risotto. Our meals were served by a gentleman who appeared to be the supervisor. I pointed out to him in blunt terms that, if I hadn’t asked and had eaten the risotto it would have made me He seemed entirely unconcerned, his only response being that he would mention it to someone. Really!!!! The fish was nice, but the vegetables  looked and tasted warmed up from the day before. Out of interest, I had a look at the dessert menu and guess what? The only vegan option - an unimaginative raspberry sorbet and berry compote - was listed as containing milk and eggs. Really!!!  Dietary restrictions: I think I have said it all in my review. The menu is inaccurate, the choices for my particular restriction are limited at best and the staff seem unaware and uninterested in the potential consequences.

Christmas staff party night Should have trusted my instincts when I had to ask a chef to plan one meal  a month in advance  in order for me to have some food in front of me..me being a Vegan! Night arrived and I sat without food.. no starter, no main meal I was even asked how to make garlic mushrooms without the butter! Given a bowl of veg with I suspect meat gravy!! Embarrassing wasn’t the word! Went way beyond! Ruined our night.. I was given a glass of wine for free.. then offered a bottle of wine for the table.. 3 weeks on and I’m still waiting  Plus point was the lovely guys who waited on us! Couldn’t say a bad word!  Get a chef .. please get a chef who is imaginative.. us vegans will flock to the place and it’s all about your reputation isn’t it guys!!!  Dietary restrictions: Vegan

Food was great, staff were very friendly Solid meal.  Parking: Not many spots but wasn&#39;t too busy anyway so it was fine

We had another great meal here the other night. As usual the food and the service was excellent. We really appreciated them fitting in our party of 12 at very short notice and they couldn't do enough to  make our evening very enjoyable. A special thanks to Michael, who allowed our George to sing a George Formby song accompanying himself on his ukulele. We will definitely be back again.
