Disappointed!! Greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to the table. However from there we waited too long for someone to come and take our order, until the lady from greeting us whilst clearing another table asked if we had been served yet. Once she had sorted out our order, our party of three went to the carvery separately, every time not having anyone there to serve us. One of our party members had enough and decided to grab her own plate and start filling with veg not having meat which then finally the chef came out only to be rude about taking her own plate… wouldn’t of had too if there was someone there to serve her. I then decided to have chocolate pancakes which came out not looking anything like your picture on the menu but sometime just chucked on a plate. Having seen staff standing around on their phones and not taking notice of the customers is laughable with the “review us” cards sitting on every table. Lastly, checking our receipt at the end of our meal, “ IS ALLERGIC: NO” not once did we get asked. There were allergies at this party, however we are clued up enough to look out for ourselves… good job too.

Lynn was absolutely fantastic, she was busy and had so much to do, but still made this a lovely visit for us. Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful service, we really appreciate all the hard work. The man working on the serving hatch was also very kind and friendly and we enjoyed a brief chat as we were the only ones in the queue. Would definitely recommend to a friend, and we love to stop in here on the way home from a long day at work. We will be back. Thanks again.

No one to greet us when we arrived. We waited behind two other groups for at least five minutes during which time no-one came over. I then found a man wiping over tables who said he would be over soon. Leaving people waiting and not even acknowledging they are there isn't good enough. We had booked so that knew at least one group was turning up at 7pm. Once we were sat down, around 10 mins after arriving, I asked the waitress for the drinks menu. She told there isn't one because the prices have changed. I ordered my drink and went up to get the carvery. Once back at the table we saw the drinks had arrived but no cutlery. I had to wander around until I found two members of staff talking together and asked them for cutlery. The table next to us wasn't given cutlery either. Food was good but that was all that was good about this visit

We were 15 min late as we drove from London, but that was not a problem at all. The lady, Mrs Lynn, who served us was lovely and knowledgeable and she didn’t hesitate to tell us about the offers on drinks and food. Mrs Lynn made sure we don’t have any allergies and also checked back on us to make sure we are happy with our dinner. The revenue was welcoming and cosy. The food was tasty, fresh and plenty to choose from. Thank you

Good food and atmosphere, with excellent service from Lynn who appeared to be the only waitress on the floor managing the tables. She was warm, polite and helpful throughout. It was clear she was slightly overstretched as she was dashing between tasks, but didn’t let this effect the service she was offering, which was first class. Parking: On site parking with plenty of space

Very warm welcome from Lynn. Seated very quickly and she let us know what to expect and where to get our food and very attentive during the meal. Very quick service, no queue at the carvery. Lots of selection. Some spoons for the veg were very hot though be careful.

Rarely leave reviews but I just had to mention the great service we received, especially from waitress Lynn : She was lovely and helpful despite being rushed off her feet. Food such as potatoes, veg and mac&cheese could have done with being filled up with a fresh batch as we seemed to have arrived when they were low but overall a good experience. thank you!

They have refurbished since the last time I was here. Inside looks good. The service was excellent, our waitress was very friendly and extremely helpful. The food as always was solidly tasty and good value. Always enjoy a trip here!Food: 4/5

Our server Luke was great, however there weren't enough staff to cope when it was busy. The food could be better. We've enjoyed fresher & nicer veg & roasties before. No veggie options the salmon thing was offered as a veggie dish - seriously None of my 3 companions enjoyed the pigs-in-blankets. Vegan desert limited to sorbet . Used to have a proper sweet option. Everything we eat here we are disappointed by something. Not sure we'll bother again. Vegetarian options: There were none available. Dietary restrictions: No vegan options available. Not even a proper desert is on the menu.

We was the only ones to book and no table reserved so had to squeeze on a very small table squashed between two others. There was a long queue for the tea as there was only 1 hot water urn, two would had been better and made things move quicker. Service was slow, waiting for our cup and glass to get drinks and then she brought out cutlery there was spoons instead of forks.
