Toby Carvery - Gravesend

We have been to this carvery on a few occasions during the last few months. At each visit we have been impressed with the friendliness of the staff. During our last visit Dawn was a delight. Just the right level of attention without being imposing. When we got talking she was engaging and easy to chat with. THANKS Dawn. However, overall we found the service timely and very efficient. The manager was helpful and attentive. Overall it was a much better experience than other venues in the area. We recommend you try this out for yourself and see however impressive good quality food in delightful setting can be at the best. Well done to all the staff for making us want to come back soon!

We came to celebrate a birthday. From the point of arriving to leaving, Emma was absolutely incredible. She was kind enough to accommodate us with last min plans to bring dessert with candle for my mother in laws birthday. Food was great, everyone enjoyed it. Ethan was extremely patient and helpful when serving our food. Thank you all for a lovely evening.

We had a booth in the far corner but it was a bit snug for 5 largish men so one had to sit on the end. Seats could do with replacing as the support is very worn and you have to sit on the cushions to raise yourself high enough to eat comfortably. Apart from that, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced.

The staff were very helpful and obviously kind. I went with a couple of my friends for a roast dinner. And it was outstanding. The pork and gammon was very nice. The service was top notch. And the atmosphere was great but there was a slight problem the toilet was blocked and I would say to the staff to have a look at it but all in all it was amazing recomend it to everyone

Visited 17th August and the service was excellent. Seated straight away, food was delicious and staff were great. A massive shout out to Jamie the carver/chef, he was hilarious, very jolly and had us in stitches - a credit to the company!

Revitalised my faith in good honest food. Been to this place twice this week. Both times Carvery outstanding, with a choice of four great quality joints and ample well cooked veg. Big shout out to our waitress Milena today who ensured our visit was faultless and enjoyable. This will now be our go to place for a roast dinner... Try it, you won't be disappointed.

You can't complain about Toby's. We went for breakfast. It was amazing. It's next to a travel lodge so it's very busy In the morning. But there was plenty of food on the buffet. All of a good quality. Nothing over greasy. The chefs kept on top of topping up the food as required. Unlimited Tea and Coffee. With my blue light card 2x breakfast and 2 X drinks roughly 13 quid. Roughly 16 without a blue light card. For unlimited food and drink ,great price.

Waited over 15 mins for vegetables to be replenished after getting my meat ....when I asked was told by the meat carver we are busy people that joined me waiting was told to move and in the end walked away so I stood and ate my roast potatoes I'd been to work at 6 finished went home showered changed and met family at restaurant at 6.40...it should have been me with attitude but by the time I sat down family had finished their meal and my husband just finishing....so was put off luke warm meal...Nice coffee

The staff were exceptional so friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. We were having a birthday breakfast celebration and overstayed our time ag the table but the staff were very understanding and gently and politely asked us to move to the lounge area to continue chatting. I can't express how much of a difference the approach made as we were not made to feel hurried. We all commented on how relaxed and welcoming the atmosphere was and that we would do this again. The downside was I was overcharged for 5 beverages instead of 4 which I didn't notice at the time of paying the bill but don't want to complain or feel disappointed as we had such a good time. Thank you for making it a memorable breakfast.

Ellie was our waitress and she was absolutely outstanding! She made sure everything was perfect with our food and drinks and always had a wonderful smile on her face she was incredible! Best service I’ve had at the Toby carvery ever! Will definitely be coming back hopefully to have her serving us again :
