This beefeater has a great standard of service. The server was nice and attentive. We got the unlimited refills, every time our glasses were empty we were offered a refill fairly quickly. The food was at a good standard. I got the pulled beef open sandwich, I would give it an easy 7/10
Must say the food was nice however its was a bit cold, maybe because it was rather busy. Also took while to be served. However we was seated very quick. Also the toilets for men was broken so you had to climb several flights of stairs to go toilet. Also the toilets were in a state Cubicle was full of you no what and the floors in there were very wet with no wet floor sign. Also the staff although present enough take orders and run straight off. You could also do with more lighting outside ofens toilets as it was rather dark when u come out toilet it is very easy to trip up the stairs when you come out of toilet. Kid-friendliness: There was kids in there but that made it very noisy especially if seated next to you there was only 2 of us and we could hardly hear each other speak on occasions Parking: Plenty of space and we went on a Sunday evening Wheelchair accessibility: Blue badge holders parking right next to entrance so all in not bad.
Came here for dinner on Sunday, 19th Feb, 7pm. Entered the room, no staff attending to seat us for a good 5 min. Decided to walk myself and my 8yo son to a table, sit down, wait, still no one. Soon realised about 3 meters away there was a staff chatting with a couple of customers. Seems they have mutual friends or something and chatted about random stuff. 10 min since arriving, no menu offered, no staff attending us yet. Finally a staff came with menu. - Found a long strand of hair in my son nachos, he almost choked with it. - On the menu it says cucumber, mint and yogurt dip. We got plain yogurt. - 1/2 grilled chicken. Corn was overly boiled written as seasoned corn, but nothing like that. - Grilled chicken was enjoyable, succulent and crisp skin. There's definitely plenty of opportunities to improve. As it is now, I will not recommend or going back for a while.
Came here for a birthday meal 10 of us and all if the meals where below a standard that I'd expect to be honest the food was warm rather than hot very poorly Plated really disappointed. Staff however where very good and apologetic over the hour wait for the food order to be taken.
This place was something else from the moment I walked in to the moment I left I was absolutely taken back with the service, food, mood and atmosphere. Bobby Jay served me and was amazing with the service throughout which always makes the extra difference and that little bit special too. All staff were very friendly and smiling. The place seemed busy and customers seemed pleased too. Has to be the best mac and cheese I have ever had and I'm a big fan, cheesy chips were very delicious and to top it off the churros kit kat were spot on. Definitely recommend this place, the vibe was delightful. Thank you for a pleasant meal and service. : I would give this place 10 stars if I could
Upon arriving at the restaurant was quickly informed that the main dining area was full, and that we would have to eat in the bar area. Bar area was nice enough and had a good amount of seating, although multiple tables were dirty/had used plates and glasses. Ordered at the bar and waited roughly 1 hour for food - had to check in with staff and was informed that the food I ordered was actually unavailable and I was offered an alternative. After this update, food arrived quickly and was good quality. Just disappointed that the unavailable items were not communicated sooner. Parking: Plenty of parking around the restaurant, parking must be validated inside restaurant upon arrival.
Last night was absolutely and utterly appalling. First of all, I went to be seated and it took them HALF AN HOUR to even acknowledge I was there. Then, they had the audacity to seat me behind this odd woke couple with their designer baby. I of course immediately asked to be seated elsewhere but my request was rudely declined. I decided to brush it off but yet again I was ignored for another forty minutes before finally being asked to order. Mind you, this whole time i was getting dirty looks from a mother sitting on the other side of the aisle. I complained thinking nothing of it and this woman had the audacity to stand up and start a conflict. I ignored her obviously and started to tell the waiter my order. When my food came it was gross, slimy and undercooked! I demanded to speak to the manager but she wasn’t much help either, and her voice sounded like a broken down motorcycle. I will never be returning to this establishment again. Good riddance.
The food was good but for 2 courses it took 21/2 hours to complete our meal. Mel done her best but not enough staff with it appears no system to serve customers. Where is the management - did not see anyone. Good food but awful service with many customers dis-appointed with heating turned down very low. I bet this review does not get posted.
Had a great Sunday lunch here with family and friends Service was a little slow, but they were busy, when we first got there. Food was great Food: 4/5
Today was the second time in a week I visited The Woodlands and I am there again tomorrow! I chose dishes from the festive menu, a starter and main last week and main and pudding today which both times was very tasty and well presented. The poor waitress that served today was rushed off her feet but despite this she was friendly, chatted and always smiled. I would recommend The Woodlands definately.
