Just another Toby average services carvery. The food tastes ok. They are quite constant here. The taste is ok, but the sizes of the slices and the quantity that they cut are really annoying for the price you pay especially at the weekend. It feels that the guy is trained not to cut a full slice and to cut it as thin as possible ....nWe ordered drinks that came after we had to remind them 3 times ... so overall, it's not a great experience ... if we starve, we might come back ...
Really disappointing experience at this Toby Carvery. I came in to collect a Too Good To Go bag right at the start of the collection window 9:00 PM, and the service was shockingly poor.nnWhen I approached the staff member at the front, he didn’t greet me at all. I politely told him I was there for the Too Good To Go bag, and he just snapped, “5 minutes,” with no eye contact or courtesy, his body language and tone were frankly rude.nnI waited and came back around 10 minutes later after getting a drink at the bar. When I asked again, he was chewing food, and I had to stand there awkwardly for about 2 minutes while he finished eating. Then he casually told me that four people had already collected the bag and there were none left. I was shocked, my bag had been reserved, and I was there on time. He basically gave my reserved bag to someone else with no apology or explanation.nnThe whole interaction felt careless and unprofessional. If a bag is reserved and I arrive on time, it should be honoured. Really disappointed and would think twice about coming back here again, especially for Too Good To Go.nnI'm not sure how the dine-in experience is here, but if this is how they handle something as simple as a Too Good To Go collection, I honestly don’t have high hopes for the service when eating in. First impressions matter, and this one wasn’t good.
Where do you start.Toby you really need to improve.nHaving booked online we arrive to a queue that's going out the door the queue is to be seated. The lady taking people to their tables is gone longer than expected the queue just gets longer.nWhen seated we order our drinks when the drunks arrive the glasses were filthy all round the tops.nNow as you can imagine it's finishes just the same way it started. The food wasn't great it's been far better in the past the beef too tough potatoes n veg Luke warm. This was Friday 27th June all the tables around me were complaining and rightly too. Gentleman behind me hadn't been in 10years came with his family and said he wouldn't be coming back. Lady on the opposite table sent a dessert back in one week it was half the size it was the week before.nThe worse of it all was asking for our bill and seriously waiting 25minutes to pay and the people in the queue asking us diners where the workers are..nnToby carvery you need to improve your services and at least employ more staff it's clear your staff are under immense pressure.
FIONA at Toby Carvery EDEN PARK is a breath of fresh air. She greats you with a big smiling face every time you walk in. We go there regularly and we love it when she is there. She livens up the place and is always so happy, welcoming and friendly. God Bless you Fiona
Because it's also a hotel upstairs there was a short wait to be seated, however the staff were lovely, very friendly, professional and helpful. The food was delicious, but the Yorkshire pudding was tough and the lamp was dry. The house gravy and Beef stole the show I was blown away, exceptional. I'm a returning customer and I will be returning again happily.nnDisabled toilets and baby changing toilets, child friendly/ family friendly. Bar at the front arcade games and TV screens.nnWheelchair accessible in certain areas of the establishment.nnYou can order a at home delivery, eat in or pick up your order.
