We visited Toby on Monday and found parking at the shopping centre to be hassle-free. The restaurant is located on the first floor with convenient lift access. We requested a window seat overlooking the High Street, which was accommodated perfectly. The music was chill and relaxing, and the staff were friendly and engaged wonderfully with the children. Even the chef was approachable, preparing food exactly to our requests with a smile. Pork crackling was amazing I haven't had them for ages.
My brother and I arrived without booking however we were given a table with no problem. Staff made great allowances for my food allergies and made sure none of their menu had coconut in it as I'm allergic.nThe food was tasty, plentiful and fresh
First time heading to Carmarthen’s Toby Carvery today for a Sunday roast and won’t be the last. We were shown to our table by a lovely lady, few minutes later a lovely, polite young lad came to take our drinks order and informed us we can just go up to get food when we were ready.nBit of a queue for the carvery but it was just after 1pm on a Sunday so to be expected and it moved swiftly :nThere were four choices of meats…Beef, Turkey, pork or Gammon. One of my children had gammon and the rest of us had beef. The beef was mouth watering delicious ! And daughter loved the gammon usually fussy with meat so I’m thrilled!nThe huge Yorkshire puddings were incredible! Plenty of vegetables to choose from, roast potatoes in beef dripping, plain roast potatoes, peas, carrots, cabbage, swede, something else but I can’t remember what, cauliflower cheese oh and stuffing : all very hot and looked lovely and fresh. Ps the stuffing was 10/10! The only down side was how good the roast potatoes were…I ate a few more than I shoulda plenty of gravy, parsley sauce and sauces, the horseradish I couldn’t get enough of. Daughters pretty much cleared their plates too…made me one happy mum!nWe decided to treat ourselves to desserts, one had cheesecake, other the cookie dough brownie and I had the chocolate fudge cake…I couldn’t believe the portion of that fudge cake! It was like a brick haha I didn’t complain! again all our puddings were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed. Waiter came when we’d finished each course and asked when we’d like the bill which was brought swiftly.nSafe to say we will be returning! Big shout out to our waiter who was very polite, cheery and helpful. I didn’t catch his name sadly but he deserves a mention.
This carvery is very modern decorated is located on the upper floor of a shopping centre. It has a lift if you need to come with a person with disabilities. The place accept bookings , service was nice. I must say they checked for allergies 4 times and made me sigh a form that I have been checked. The meat was nice the vegetables not that great maybe because was 6pm they have been there all day under the heat. They did not have enough gravy. They have a nice selection of drinks.You can pay with card or cash. Parking is not free.
Food was really nice but.. I watched a parent watch his children dip their fingers in the gravy lick their fingers and put it back in and picking crackling up biting it and putting it back. Staff didn't change the gravy straight away until we mentioned it and the parents didn't correct their children before it was to late. Not good!
