Cool place to meet up with friends over a coffee. Can get busy but generally the staff keep on top of it. There's plenty of seating upstairs which is often overlooked. The food is good, bit pricey, but good quality for a coffee shop.

I work for Coffee 1 and believe I have been mentioned in a negative review by a Mrs Angela Owens. I am shocked to have learned of the review. The customer has failed to mention her visit was during our busiest time and yes a mistake was made during ordering which was rectified. Mrs Owens comment on my lack of interest in politeness when retrieving her change is unfounded... I particularly made a paint to again apologise. On a final note my a bluegloves are not purely for hygiene they are protection for my ongoing health issues. I again apologise and would like to say this is a personal response and does not depict the views or beliefs of Coffee #1

Called here for lunch today. Quite busy ordered drinks and food. Waited a while for food but was shocked when only one meal served. Male member of staff said only one ordered which was incorrect and told us he would get the other in a minute for us and we didnt need to que again!!! He then brought a print out of our contact less receipt and said we hadnt been charged. While my poor husband was trying hard to enjoy his lunch the same member of staff asked for payment for second meal. I then stood up to go and use the card machine but my husband had cash so paid at the table. The member of staff put our change on table with out as much as a thank you or here is your change. My husband had finished his lunch before mine arrived. So much for having lunch out together. What finally finished my lunch off for me was to see the same member of staff taking food out to another customer with his blue gloves on and on his way back collecting dirty cups and plates in from a table then without changing gloves or wadhing them went on to touching and cooking more food. Come on please is this what we are to expect from a High street chain?.

Love this place. Staff are friendly and always helpful. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Clean and tidy. Food and drink are excellent.

Friend says coffee is best in town but there's very limited choice if you don't drink coffee
