Appalling customer service...I sent back an order for a refund towards the end of July and reached out to see why things were taking so long. I was sent a response saying 'allow up to 21 working days for the return to be accepted and processed' with a link to their returns policy which doesn't actually back up that messaging. After radio silence and waiting the 21 business days I tried reaching out via their online chat and had no response but did see a note on their chat bot saying 'UK customers - We estimate your return to take 4 working days to be received and processed by our team. Once completed we will send an email confirming your refund and the funds will be available in 3-5 working days'. It feels like they are running some sort of scam and I will be avoiding ordering from them ever again!
I can only agree with all the other reviews here. I ordered online an Oxford double cuffed white shirt and they sent me the wrong item. When asking for a replacement or refund I had to carry the shipping costs myself and also didn’t receive a refund on the initial shipment. In total a loss of 25€ for a mistake on their end. Absolutely disastrous customer experience. Do not recommend at all!
Whatever happened to TM Lewin? They used to be great, now you cannot find a shop, everything is online, no one responds to emails. Previous lines have stopped and you cannot get a replacement trouser or anything close. Do they want to close or are the closed?
I spoke to an ex employee in Cordings. TM Lewins were bought by a third party who shut the shops and the factory then unceremoniously fired the staff. In their view they trashed the business. It would seem so.
Used to be great and now awful. The sad fact is that their product is still good but their customer service is terrible. Firstly they have NO shops. Not one! Although they have still kept Jermyn street on their labels ! Secondly having no physical stores they still charge extra for delivery on a 4 shirt deal whilst charging the same price as their direct competitors. Thirdly if you don’t like a shirt or they don’t fit they won’t exchange but force you to take a refund at a pro rata of the deal price and then rebuy which of course then isn’t in the 4 shirt deal and charged at £65! Quite an impressive attempt to alienate your customers and ensure your company’s demise just when we’re all getting back to the office and our shirts need replacing. It is not even difficult to sort these fundamental failings out by just using some common sense!
Would get 0 star if that was possible. Placed an order for some shirts and understandably they have no more stores, so it’s important to try before making a decision. I wasn’t happy with the 4 that I received and decided to send all 4 back. Upon receiving the shirts I only got a refund for 2, I assume because I tried on for fit and size. I’ve tried to contact them over email and their online form but have no heard anything back. I have been charged £70 for returning the whole order? Daylight robbery and terrible service. If you’re thinking of shopping from TM Lewin, id advise you not to do it. I will have to now raise the matter with my bank and try to get my money back from these thieves. For a company that used to be really good and reliable to turn so bad is quite sad.
WARNING - ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY WILL NOT GIVE IT BACK! I wish I read these reviews before I bought my clothes. I returned some unwanted items 6 weeks ago within the return period and they still haven't processed my return. I bought £600 worth of clothes and returned half of them with tracked delivery and they still won't process my refund. I think this is some kind of scam. Once they have your money they will never give it back. We have around 20 emails back and forth over the past month, they are so disorganised. And not only do they charge for delivery, you also have to pay for returns. With so many alternatives out there I don't know why anyone would want to buy from this company again.
Sadly agree with a lot of people. Used to LOVE Lewin’s and when I saw I could get their shirts again I was very happy. Ordered a few sizes and was happy with one. Could not send 3 back for exchange had to send all four back. Shirts I want are out of stock and now I have been waiting for my refund for over a month now. Come on guys it’s not rocket science to give people their money back within a week or so. It’s the 21st century after all. Or maybe they don’t want to give me my money? Either way unless you have no other option and the size/colour you want is available DO NOT give them your MONEY! Very sad to find myself saying this. Sorry Lewin’s.
1 star is too generous for a once respectable company that currently I have been waiting 2 months for a refund from. They currently are not even sure if my return has arrived in their warehouse - total shambles *EDIT* I actually forgot to mention in the original review: Of the 5 items I ordered, 3 were the wrong thing e.g. trousers instead of a jacket, 2 of the same instead of different sizes. Additionally - It has now been another month and still no refund or communications
I recently received an email asking me to review a shirt I bought 2 years ago, and in return I would receive a 20% voucher. I reviewed the product favourably yet failed to receive a voucher. Emailed customer services twice. Radio silence. Disgraceful service from a once great company.
