My Mum passed away very suddenly a few weeks ago and we chose Tilston's Funeral Services to sort the arrangements. Simon and his Dad were amazing - so compassionate and couldn't do enough for us at such a traumatic time of our lives. Whilst organizing the funeral, Simon was happy for me to have input on all of the details via FaceTime as I don't live locally and couldn't get there due to snow. This is something I was very grateful of. Simon was available on the phone whenever we needed him, and he treated my lovely Mum with great respect and care whilst he looked after her prior to her burial. He made sure that we were well prepared to see her for the final time as her face was very red (not the fault of anyone at all but thankful we were prepared beforehand). On the day of the funeral, Simon suggested he walk from our home and out of the village in front of the hearse so that family could walk behind. This was such a lovely touch and something we were very glad to have done for Mums final journey. The service, again, was OUTSTANDING and everyone commented about it. The hymn sheets were very professionally done and the colour in the photograph was great. Music was clear and exactly what we wanted. The pall-bearers were also well prepared for what was a difficult thing for them to do, thanks to Simon talking them through every step of the way. I don't think any of the pall-bearers had done it before but they were all well briefed and supported every single step of the way. We spoke to Simon today and he suggested a cross marker until we can put a headstone on the grave. This is something we'd been discussing as a family and Simon is sorting it for us, and much cheaper than we anticipated too. It has been wonderful having the support of Simon and all at Tilston's at what has been (and still is) an extremely difficult and traumatic time for us all. They really took the pressure off everything, which has allowed us to concentrate on everything else going on...and although we'd all pay anything for our loved ones and don't like to think about the costs, for the service we got and everything included, the price was extremely reasonable and I don't think it could be beaten for everything that was done for us and Mum. Thanks so much for everything Simon and everyone at Tilston's. We would definitely recommend you to anyone, although, we hope we don't have to for a very long time! Claire Middleton

Can't thank and praise Tilstons Funeral services enough. The love and compassion they had for my family after my uncle had passed away was second to none. Their personal touch made an awful situation more bearable and we can't thank them enough. Will definitely be using these again .... but hopefully not too soon xx

Can not recommend Tilstons Funeral Services enough. Their professional care and consideration to help you through the sad ordeal you are going through is outstanding. The things you never ever thought you would have to organise, the questions you were never prepared to answer they help you all through it all in a personal caring manner. Thank you so much for helping us through this sad occasion and thank you for a wonderful professional send off for our dad, brother, husband and granddad, a huge thanks from Barb, Tracy, Sharon and family

We have had 3 family funerals with Tilstons over the last 6 years and have found them always sincere, helpful and understanding through the very difficult period. Can't recommend them highly enough. The Thorpe family
