Amazing food start to finish. Staff very friendly and helpful. Can’t complain about the food in anyway, was top quality. Found the pricing to be very fair considering the quality of the food. Would highly recommend!
Thyme never disappoints! Great to be back in a more normal setting. I had the ham hock and crispy egg starter, other was scallops. Main for me was roast beef, beef cheek croquette, Yorkshire pudd and all the trimmings. Other main was crispy pork belly with loads of flavour bombs along side it. Kids had the fish goujons and they were top notch. Top class as always.
Throughly fulfilling experience from start to finish. Restaurant food and staff punching well above their weight, even in difficult times. Prices keen for the level of quality enjoyed.
Unreal food! Tasting different foods and numerous courses was a great experience for dietary requirement they were able to tailor the majority of dishes for me! Will be back

This was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in Ireland, possibly anywhere. The food flavours, attention to detail, ambiance, and the staff were all 5 star. I had the scallops as a starter and Monkfish as a main - wow. I will be back!
One of the best meals we had in ages, from the starter to dessert it was an amazing experience and so was the wine. Service is great too, we felt very welcomed. We already booked to come back in April for our next visit to Athlone. this is what we call a great dining experience, well done
Cozy yet a little cold restaurant tucked away in a quiet street in Athlone Town. We decided to come here as to avoid a long drive to Dublin to bring my mother for her birthday dinner. She is vegan, so midlands is not very welcoming for her. While John has been very good at preparing a separate menu listing for my mother and decorating her desert plate with very tidy chocolate hand writing, the food offered for her was very bare and basic. All 4 of us had a consensus that the portions we're a bit too small and mom ended up making food at home 2 hours after the meal. While 2 of us did enjoy what we we're offered, the other 2 members of the party we're disappointed. I think the general consensus was that we would not return as we couldn't find value in what was provided to us. Vegetarian options: Only 1 option in started, main for vegetarians. Parking: No parking nearby.
The food was fantastic. 5 star it's great to enjoy a set menu and not have salt and pepper on your table. It's so nice to try some different types of Irish food Food: 5/5
