This is a great pub with a lovely atmosphere, good beers and bitters and a fairly good selection of wines. We come here mainly for a meal but it's also a nice place to go during the afternoon for a coffee or a light bite. The food is superb. Only slight down side is the acoustics... it can be very difficult to have a conversation in some parts of the pub when you're eating because the noise is deafening.

Went for lunch on a Monday, cannot I would think be that popular day for a pub lunch. Plenty of room to park when I arrived at noon but when I left after a couple of hours the car park was rammed. Fair selection of decent beers and from my meal and that of my companions well above average grub.

Went for Sunday lunch. Had 3 courses, all were delicious but not sure about the crackling. Waiters were kind and polite. An exemplary English pub.

Really busy restaurant so book before you go. Great food, great service in a very relaxing atmosphere. What more do you want.

Lovely pub. Great food and good service. It gets very busy so it's advisable to book in advance. Most of the pub is taken up by tables for dining with a smaller bar area.
