Good unpretentious pub about to have big refurbishment, the gammon egg and fat chips are superb and extremely good VFM.nn2024 update.nnThe refurbishment has totally transformed this pub.nnIt's been extremely well done and is now a place I want to go to, rather than just another slightly tired pub.nThey've added a fair few large and high quality TV screens so if you like to watch sport, it's a great place to do so.nLunchtime food offers are extremely good VFM too.
A favourite of ours!nnThe staff are so friendly and welcoming. They remember us, and even our food order! I often bring my family and we find the food is always consistently good.nnI also come monthly with a group of older people. The staff are fabulous and make us feel very welcome. The food comes out hot and at the same time, even when there are 25 of us.nnA great place for a family meal and such good value.
This place NEVER disappoints, went there for a birthday meal for my misses. Good value food, extremely friendly staff, the waitress Rhea, hope I've spelt her name right was really helpful. Six of us ate for £106 including four drinks. They have live music every so often....I'm calling the manager later, to say we'll done to all their staff....

Visited today, has been refurbished since last visit. Ordered mushroom chilli which I would recommend, thought I would try something different and was glad I did. Cheesy garlic bread so good that we finished the portion we ordered and then ordered another. Value for money exceptional and generous portions. 4 mains, two starters plus drinks came to just over £50. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be visiting again.
