Friendly place, including allowing me to take my spaniel in with me. Lovely real fire which was excellent on a cold November day. Just been in again with friends and once again very friendly. Food was excellent. My friend described his pie as the best he has ever had in a pub?
The food here was delicious!! Great portions, well cooked tasty food!! Would definitely recommend!! Staff were very friendly!!
Very welcoming, staff very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. However, we detected that the pub was short staffed - one lady and one young man and presumably a chef in the kitchen. The food was excellent and well presented. Recommend The Thorn.
We stopped in this pub by chance as it was on the route to the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience. We arrived about 5pm on a Saturday. Ample space, welcoming staff and a good atmosphere. I had the stake and ale pie which was enormous and very tasty. Great value for money. Note: If we had arrived an hour later, about 6pm, we would have struggled to get a table without pre-booking.
Hi service was good, bit took a while just for the soup to arrive, that was all i ordered. It was table service which I appreciated and as I had my little one with me another customer offered for me to pay first at the till so I could be in my way quicker. So all in all it was good.
Staying local and decided to eat at the Thorn Inn for evening meals. Food and service amazing and to a very high standard. Prices very reasonable and Michelle and staff were so welcoming .
Lovely local country pub, great food, friendly staff - always look forward to another trip to the Thorn Inn! My partner is vegiterian, and loves the selection of veggie options here.
Yet again a lovely Christmas meal this year. I would fully recommend having a cosy get together in such a happy friendly atmosphere. Wonderful staff can't do enough. Thank you D 'O'connor
Rude customer service from the old lady who works in there. Was told we had to wait for an hour as we entered the pub without any explanation as well as when the pub was clearly empty. I further asked why, and she changed her mind and said “wait time is 10 minutes”. Also, wanted to order from the Greene King app as she was really rude and made us felt uncomfortable, her response was “we don’t do app in here”. Again no explanation as to why what so ever. Already my second unhappy visit with poor customer service from this old lady. Will not visit again.
Nice staff but I came there with Groupon voucher and they were not able to apply to my bill corectlly. Lack of cheese in burgers that bad. I tried send you e-mail but it is not valid.
