Lively surroundings. Beautiful outdoor area, if u can get a seat. We had to sit inside in the sweltering heat infront of a window. But yes, it's a lovely little pub. I ordered the fish and chips and upgraded northern style to add curry sauce and bread and butter great idea. The curry sauce, mushy peas and bread and butter were the best part of the meal. Unfortunately I wasn't provided a chisel to get through the batter. My son had the burger which looked delicious.
The bridge has been my local for years , I've seen it grow from a small cosy pub to the fancy place it is today , there is always a good pint to be had and the food just keeps getting better , couple this with a large heated outdoor section next to a historic canal and you've covered just about every base anyone could ask for , to top it off the owner genuinely cares for the place and the people and isn't some faceless corporation as you will see him around quite often. Well worth a visit
Was so nice to be able to find somewhere that does Gluten free battered fish! Tasted incredible! Very busy place, so would recommend booking. If we lived closer, it would definitely be a regular of ours.
Lovely place for a drink. Always been. I am happy to go there again and again. Beautiful view from the terrace. Very friendly staff. I wish they will have bigger choice of food on menu.
Nice place to go for a quiet night out, reasonably priced food and drink with a range of the most popular beers and some cask ales. It has a good outside space near the canal with heating and covering over the tables. Normally our pub of choice when visiting Stockton Heath.
Had a lovely meal here on Sunday it was for my birthday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A cosy place with views over the canal, lovely outside area too.
Had lunch with my husband, mum, brother and sister in law on Christmas Bank Holiday Tuesday Even though it was very busy the food was served promptly and everything was delicious . We live in Macclesfield, it was my Brothers recommendation as he lives locally. We would definitely recommend and will certainly be back
Food was very poor. It felt as if it had been warmed up from the day before. Very dry lasanya no sauce. Couldn't eat it. Starters were dry and over cooked. Never again.
We met friends here for lunch, I had the cheese pie, my husband had sausage and mash and our friends both had the steak pie. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly.
Nice atmosphere, good drinks. The patio heaters are great for summer evenings. Was slightly disappointed the fires weren’t on on a November evening
