They were quick to raise the rent I was pushing after I moved in when property prices rised in Aberdeen but never dropped them whenever prices started to crash. I found myself contacting the landlord directly more as I would hardly get an answer to any queries that I had. Had it not been for me being to know the landlord them I wouldn't have used this estate agent as long I reckon. Don't get me seeing they can be nice but should be doing more imo.

I recently rented an apartment from them, and it was a very pleasant process all the way through. Great communication, flexible times and fast handling of requests. The office was a bit hard to find, as I didn't see the signs the first time coming from the wrong direction. Other than that I'm very pleased with the overall experience.

REPLY TO OWNER UPDATE. Yes it was Thomson properties in June 2014 for 8 Thomson street. June is my middle name. Don't think you can deceive people just because you have moved address. I have an email from you with the same phone number as on here. Worst experience ever ! Warning to both potential tenants or landlords. In all my years of renting they are the worst. They are unprofessional, uncooperative and judgemental. I was selected as a tenant for one of their properties. I was due to sign the lease just hours before I travelled to London to pick up my belongings in a removal van. We had one last viewing where I enquired about details such as replacing the old mattress ( or buying my own one ) and moving in my own sofa bed so my family had somewhere to sleep when they visited. The mattress by the way was old, unhygienic and ruined - I can't imagine the agent or landlord would sleep on such an item. The agent spoke on behalf of the landlord and answered instantly that he wouldn't like it - I asked him to at least ask the landlord directly - and he refused to ! He told me later that he thought I was a liar and wanted a sofa bed for a secret flat mate - even though my employment contract clearly showed I could more than cover the rent. They also changed the move in date - so I had unnecessarily paid the first months rent far in advance and it made more sense to pay a week before move in after my next paycheck- after all moving is expensive. The office manager told me all I had to do was to ask the agent directly on the final viewing to refund this and set up payment for the move in day. The agent again had a problem with this and spoke to me in the most rude, arrogant and obnoxious tone. Hours later he rung up to say there were too many problems and that he told the landlord there would be issues with me and withdrew the application ! I told them they had put me in an awful position since there was no time to arrange another place - and when i returned with all my belongings i would effectively be homeless. The agent answered smugly - i know that - you shouldn't have pushed those questions! In other words you shouldn't expect to be able to ask your agent any questions about your property or expect to be able to move in your own belongings ? Later my mother spoke to him later and the agent told her it would teach me a lesson - like a child ! Lets get this straight - a letting agent - who is a service to the public and property owners wanted to a teach a professional in her mid 30s for her "pushing " questions such as which furniture can I move in ? Additionally - it appears they would not have even have known this as they were initially quite prepared to let me sign the lease without doing any proper credit checks or references - choosing instead to go by their own arrogant judgement - they liked who I worked for. Warning - stay away from these unprofessional, small time and arrogant cowboys. They are exactly everything you don't want from a letting agent.

thompsons are indeed cowboys awful the way they treat their tenents you only have to visit their propertys in felixstowe to know how doggy they actualy are . they are dishonest and so many of their tenents have plenty to say , i have been a victom of their narcisium be aware if you ask for any repairs they will either up your rent or serve you with a section 21 , they do not always deposit your deposit into a deposit bank and are breaking the law . do not rent from them .

We used their services to rent the current house we're living in. They're really flexible and have great response times. However, they need to work on the delivery of contract copies as it took us multiple reminders to finally get our copy.
