The Aberdeen branch of Martin & Co are absolutely awful. It’s difficult to say wether it’s the agency itself or just the people who have been employed at this particular branch. The process of moving in was painful as none of the staff could tell what supplier was used for the electricity. They bounced me between “Tennant Shop” and themselves. It was a bad sign that the staff in this branch didn’t know basic information about a flat they were renting out. The branch also sent out my personal number to someone who sent me a poorly written text asking if they could check the property to fit in two heaters. There was no official acknowledgment that this person was any part of Martin & Co and found it unacceptable that Martin & Co wouldn’t request this appointment themselves. They have also implied I have lost items and Dana fed the property however no one was competent enough to reference the original inventory. I strongly recommend avoiding this Martin & Co until they can employ the right people or at least do a better job at training them.

Absolute robbers. Trying to get £140 off my £400 deposit for things I shouldn't have to pay for (resealing the shower which was molded before I moved in) Moved out on march 17th and I'm only hearing about this now. Took ages for any response. They had painted over the black mold in the bedroom to hide it so when I moved in two months later the whole back wall in my bedroom was black with mold. And the living room has a big patch of damp which I got told would get fixed (it never) Shouldn't of even been put up for rent as it was borderline not acceptable for living purposes. Do not go with Martin and co. Save yourself time and money

I met a good landlord however you have been warned when dealing with this agent. Just need to be very carefully clean everything back to as the day you moved in to prevent any charges such as cleaning or for small scuff markings on the walls. Also they postponed the inventory check to the day after moved out even though the appointment have been made 5 weeks in advanced. Suggestion is, try not to touch the wall, carpet and do not use the toilet and kitchen during your tenancy then it should be ok.

DON'T DO IT --- These people WILL give your keys out to whoever asks for them. These people WILL treat you like dirt. These people WILL beat around the bush when it comes to ceilings caving in. These people WILL treat you like you're an idiot. These people WILL NOT care. Pathetic, incompetent and arrogant. 6 times in 4 months they've handed out my keys without any mention of this to me. Strangers, trapesing around my home without my knowledge or consent. The property isn't even registered in the Scottish Landlord Register - This is illegal.

Martin & Co very speedily had 3 different contractors in to our flat to rectify a drainage and flooding problem. The co-ordination and organisation of all the work (drains, central heating boiler, floor coverings) was handled efficiently by Martin & Co staff.
