My wife and I recently bought a house in London. It was the second time John Cooke had acted for me and he was superb throughout. It was not the easiest transaction - although he assured me he'd known far worse - but he really took the heat off. Every time we came off the phone to him, we felt better about the protracted negotiations, which says a lot. We would recommend THW unhesitatingly.

Great service - we recently used John Cooke from Thomson Hayton Winkley as our solicitor when buying a house and he was fantastic. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Thomson Hayton Winkley enough. Myself and my girlfriend bought a flat together and used them for the conveyancing process. In addition to this, we also requested additional documentation/contracts to be created and these were created to a very high standard. No editions required. Overall, we were engaged with THW for about 2 months over which time I had no issues whatsoever with them. In particular, John Cooke is exceptional. He is a straight talking chat who is honest, integral and experienced. He provides insight and guidance on the various decisions that need to be made without being overly imposing. Without doubt, the best legal aid I've experienced. Additionally, although John was assigned as my primary contact, he went on holiday during the period of our completion. This initially worried me that I would have to get someone else up to speed but it was an abslute seamless transition from John to his stand-in and then back to John. We did not skip a beat and managed to complete on our purchase exactly when desired without any slippage (which for buying a flat in London is no mean feat!). Glancing down at the other reviews, my experience is repeated with the chap who preceded myself, so I am clearly not a fluke of good fortune in terms of THW service. In regard to the the first review I can see that someone had a bad experience. But this was posted under the wrong company!! (for their estate agent side of things, nothing to do with the legal part and a completely separate legal entity and corporate company altogether so I'm completely disregarding this one). All in all. A fantastic company with competent and pleasant people. Cannot recommend it more highly.
