Fantastic place 5 cask beers... but we like to savour good beer and certainly don't nurse a half... would give five stars but when your stood waiting and the bar person tries to serve two other customers and then says oh! Thought your were still 'nursing' your halves even after he'd taken your empties... puts you off a bit...

Great place atmosphere and beers. Barman a bit off when we wanted another half... Thought we were still nursing the last one. Mmm! Some lovers of real ale like to sample a few without getting 🐀 ar..d 😵

Free cheese platter with a bottle of wine on a Wednesday. Some brie, cheddar and a creamy & salty blue. Not bad!

Plenty of different ales to try out, can be a bit expensive, especially if you don't like what you've ordered. The staff are great and will let you try before you buy tho.

A good selection of ales, both on drapht and bottles along with a comfy selection of seating, including sofas. Good pies to eat and a number of events throughout the week.
