Boothroyd made a great decision to come to the Beartown Tap. No Ginger Bear but great selection of their beers. Had a super pint of Skinfull Bitter. Super bar with stairs up to a snug and a second large room. Go down to a large rear beer garden. A CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2024 bar. Six real ales and a good cider selection. Had a hoot!

Lovely little bar/pub, independent as well. Spoke with an owner who is a lovely chap, told us a little story of this town and bears.nnDecent prices, they do food pop ups. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area!

Advertised pizza and a pint on Tuesdays. Looking forward to that but turned up and pizza man on holiday ‍ how about putting that information out there. Real ales in pretty ordinary condition too. So high expectations no where near met.nGood job there a good number of alternatives in Congleton
