Very disappointed with the food here today. This pub my parents have been going to for over 40 year's. The Yardley has had a well needed revamp, looks fabulous. Kids new sports room where the bottle room was looks great, far too many tables in the pub and too cramped. We ordered our drinks at the bar and the found a table. Sat at our table, menu looks great, ordered our food. Ordered food at 14.23 and a few mins to 3pm our food came out, mixed grill was an XL one ordered, didnt come out as an XL so this was sent back ,my cheese and bacon burger just looked like it was thrown together,  no salad no sauce, my dads fish and chips looked ok but upon trying to cut into the batter it looked over cooked and the batter was brown burnt not golden brown, mushy peas looked as if they had been stood under the heat lamp. My two girls had chicken tikka massala which was fine they enjoyed it. My son had a kids meal pizza chips and beans again that was fine, my mum had gammon chips and egg again was lovely. The XL mixed grill arrived after the other members of the family had all eaten, well what a disgrace this was, here goes - the eggs where broken hard, steak was supposed to be medium rare was well done, swapped peas for beans these looked like they had been under a heat lamp for 15 minutes. So a family meal it was supposed to be just turned in a disappointing family meal. The manager gave us a full refund but really took the shine off our time together.

Haven't been here in years, just popped in for some food. It was quiet staff friendly and helpful, food cheap and cheerful. At the time it was chilly because the air con was on so I had to keep my jacket on when eating. Food was spot on

My self  and  family members, have been coming  to Yardley arms for  over 14 years. for  Birthdays, Christmas ,and especially summer periods . However the standard is not there anymore. My self and family members came here on the weekend of 12/04/2019, for a birthday meal. However  we were all  disappointed, the food it self was  expensive for what was. Half of the food was sent back due to the fact was cold and raw in some places. The environment was  unclean in the dining area,  especially within the men's and ladies toilets . I have only given two stars for over all  experience of the quality. As for  the bar staff I would of given  more star Just based on them  being polite and friendly. as they were lovely.. More so when we  did put our complaint about food my friends were refunded and given the opportunity for another meal and a  Pudding also with an apologies The customer service for complaints   is there. But the Standard has now gonehence  why customers have been seeking other Pubs with food in other local areas

Food came was a bit of a  longish wait unfortunately it was cold when served to us. The steak was burnt . they changed the food however the 2nd platter of food was either over nuked and the chicken was soggy and wet. They offered us free drinks and a refund on the platter. We definitely wont be returning for food again.

The worst ever food I have ever eaten. 4 of our party of 6 refused to even try and eat their meal. When a steak dinner is served with cold chips and sauce along with still frozen mushrooms that was the limit and we all demanded and received our money back . Never ever again...

had an evening meal with the family, had a steak over cooked sent it back and they couldn't apologise enough. the staff are very good and when the next steak came out it was perfect.  couldn't fault the place great food and great staff.

Bar staff were pleasant but not knowledgeable about what they had in stock or about food on the menu. Kitchen staff could not provide a dressing for salads, server said "We don't have any"!! The place was not busy, only a handful of people there & still the bar service was quite slow. This pub is in a nice location & should have lots of potential if the staff were properly trained.

Spur of the moment to have Sunday dinner here, 2 busy bar staff, 1 kitchen runner/server, no knives & forks on the table, when given the food, was asked if we wanted sauce, yes please, never came back, had to get knife & forks off another table, mashed potato & vegetables, was luke warm, Lamb made up for that, nice, hot & lovely! Mixed feeling about this place, think it could be better with at least one extra staff member & a bit more organised & hot vegetables!?
